Hi all, I'm currently 5'11", 285 pounds. And I'm currently on 10 mg of reta, but I've been feeling a lot of food noise coming back and I'm not getting full as quick as usually because now I can eat a full meal and still not feel as full as before when back I was on 1 mg. So I was thinking about mixing this with Triz for appetite suppression and food noise. Could you guys give me some solutions and some helpfulness please?

Also, I've been stuck around this 290 to 285 pound mark for the last four weeks. So I need help also breaking out this plateau. All your helps and guidance will be especially appreciated.

I dunno man...Typically, what works for someone else may not work for you...Personally, I would keep your reta regime going and introduce a 2-4mg tirz dose, or a .25-.5mg dose of sema or carig and see how that addresses the food noise...good luck with it... 👍

I use a 8mg tirz and 7mg reta and find it as my sweet spot. As they say mileage may vary?

nice!....also for the OP, what are your deets as the young people say (under 60 is young to me) ?

How long have you been on reta? What was your starting weight? Are you tracking calories? Goal weight? 10mg of reta is pretty advanced dosing...

Just to share my experience but I am not an expert. Just another testing subject.

I started with Tirz and really like it. I reached 7.5mg and wanted to add a second pinning each week to boost the appetite suppression. I'm a believer in pinning twice a week. I added Reta to add the glucagon receptor. I pin Tirz 7.5mg on Friday and 4mg Reta on Tuesday. I started my GLP experiment March 6th, 2026 and have never experience a plateau longer than 5 days. My weight loss has been super consistent and really pretty easy compared to any other diet that I've been on.

This week I purchased some Cagrilintide for my freezer stash but don't pin any. As I get closer to my goal weight, if things become stalled, I will add 1mg of Cagrilintide to the mix on a third day. I want to activate the targeting amylin receptors. My working theory is to engage more receptors in place of titrating way up on Tirz or Reta.

Nice write up, but I gotta say, you are way braver than me with the cagril...from all accounts, a first dose of 1mg of cagril is stout, and maybe a little unforgiving... 😳

I have a couple of kits of cagril and sema put away for exactly what the OP is talking about, but I would be approaching either of them with a whip and a chair like a lion tamer...😳

I agree. I would start at .250 for a few weeks and eventually get to 1mg. I'd have to see what my experience was. I've had zero sides with Tirz or Reta.

Do you mean 0.1 mg fir the Cagri? I have some but I'm too scared to try it

I’d increase Reta first, then add something. I got to 20mg of Reta and started adding .25mg of Sema.

I hit my first goal weight this week, currently coasting my Reta level down, skipped a split dose and will take 6-7mg Monday (I split dose). I haven’t had a Sema bump in a week, waiting for symptoms to come back (mainly food noise).

I chose Sema because I hadn’t taken it yet, it’s given me the most aggressive sides by far, but relatively the sides were mild and mainly when I’d try to bump the dose more… I thought I was going to start at .5mg/week but that was an error. The first .25mg dose smashed my food noise. I’d split .125mg 2x weekly and a couple times I’d bump it to .1875mg.

Basically until sides are a limfac, my general theory is escalate to maintain efficacy.

I’d add more Reta, at least getting to 12mg/week. Then I’d add 1mg of Tirz, see what it does, and adjust.

My experience is a little different since I started with tirz, but if I were you , I'd start with 2.5mg tirz on a day you don't pin reta. See if you get sides and see if it helps then move up until you're comfortable . It took me about 2.5 months to find the best balance for me.

I could not see what weight you started at, it might make a difference if you have already lost 50 kilos and are at this point or if you lost 10 and are stalled. The usual reason for increasing hunger and reduced weight loss rate is having lost a lot of weight already, so effectively the GLP drug is having to work to prevent regain, not just cause more weight loss.

If cost is not an issue, although the research is very early stage, Eloralintide is likely the most effective add on , it caused an extra 11% weight loss in 32 weeks with 15mg of tirz, compared to tirz alone. A lot better than cagri in terms of extra weight loss, probably, as cagri has only been tested with semaglutide.

But adding in some tirz or cagri are reasonable options, or just going above 12mg of reta, this is only really an option if there are minimal side effects at 12mg otherwise adding in tirz might cause less side effects. It is usually a good idea to start cagri at very low doses like 0.25mg. Maybe tirz might reduce food noise better than reta, it seems to be what the internet believes, though given reta causes more weight loss it is hard to see how it does not reduce food intake just as well as tirz.

Some are saying eloralintide has a better side effect profile than cagri. I'm only on tirz right now, but i am planning to switch to reta, then if the food noise comes back adding on eloralintide.

What are your eating habits? Are you tracking calories? Are you exercising at all? Are you sleeping OK? Are you eating only if you are hungery?

Answer these questions, to help us understand the entire picture. Then let's talk glp's

I just took my 4th dose (once a week) of reta on top of my weekly dose (well into 6 months weekly dosing) of tirz. I began Tirz at 2mg, titrated up to 2.5mg and 3mg over the following months, and have been on 4mg of Tirz for the past few months. I have adjusted my diet, sleeping paterns, and I work out 4X a week for 1.5 hours, mixing weights and cardio. I have lost close to 35lbs in a little over 6 months using Tirz and adjusting my lifestyle to a more healthy existence 🙂

I decided too transition over to reta because I was nearing my weight goal and I wanted the additional health benefits of reta. I started with 2mg of reta approx. 3 days after my weekly 4mg tirz injection. My original plan was to spend a month at 2mg, then titrate up to 3mg of reta while lowering my tirz to 3. I would spend a month at those levels, then titrate up again to 4mg reta, titrate down to 2mg of Tirz. My plan was to follow this scheudle until I was fully on reta and no longer using Tirz.

HOWEVER.....I have been so impressed with how I feel and how my body is responding to my current 4mg Tirz/2mg Reta, that I have decided to hold here with the 4mg/2mg combo, and re-evaluate in another 4 weeks. If I steel feel the same way, I'll continue on with the same 4mg/2mg combo. If I notice a decrease in effectiveness, I will continue with my orignka plan and titrate up on the reta while titrating down on the tirz.

With this current 4/2mg combo, I feel my workouts are SIGNIFICANTLY improved/more robust; my recovery is significantly improved and speedy (I am in my mid 40s but my workouts and recovery feel like I am in my early 20s, significantly more noticeable using the combo instead of just Tirz by itself); my food noise is SLIGHTLY increased than when using only Tirz, but if I had to put a number on it, I'd say I experienced a 10% increase in my food noise from the lowest level Tirz gave me (that is, if Tirz made me feel a 1 or 2 out of 100 for food noise, adding the reta gives me a score closer too 9 or 10 out of 100. BARELY NOTICEABLE, and completely managable with my healthy diet and eating habits thanks to Tirz over the past 6 months).

THIS ALL SAID, please consider this before rushing to combine reta and tirz: as far as I know, there are no published studies or data detailing the effects--negative and/or positive--of combinging Tirz and reta (I hear there are studies going on right now, so maybe in the near future we will see some actual data). While we can all speculate the pros and cons of combinging these two peptides together, if we are honest critical thinkers, we must acknowledge that we DO NOT KNOW, at this point in time, the negative effects (if any) of combinging these two. Be mindful of this, and consider your risk toleraance.
