Yeah, same here — no pep was mentioned, but I've never come across anyone tapering down in that way.

I'm not suggesting it's a negative approach whatsoever; in fact, it might turn out to be a fascinating and useful case study for everyone in this community.

What got you considering that route? Have you come across any problems associated with stopping abruptly?

Could you share some additional context? Is your plan to use it for a brief period?

Yeah, only for a short stretch. I think 3 months is enough time for me to reach my target. I go to the gym 5 days each week without fail, and my sessions go fine. What gets me is constant hunger — I'll reach for snacks nonstop. I've done 2 weeks on Reta so far, at .5mg then 1mg. The food noise has already disappeared, I get full once I eat, and I have zero craving for sweets. So here's what I want to know: should I stay at the same mg, or should I taper down as the cycle winds down?

Which peptide are you referring to? I figure it's Reta, though you never actually say.
Right. Reta.

Reta. When it comes to dosing I came across plenty of conflicting opinions, but I haven't seen anything about how folks are bringing it to an end. Tapering down seems logical to me, though I've got no idea really. Week 2 for me now, began at .5mg then went to 1mg. So far no side effects. Feeling good on it, 6lbs down plus 1% body fat.

My wife and I kicked off at 0.5 during week 1 — and wow, 6lbs gone by the time 2 weeks rolled around is fantastic!

I've only recently begun using reta. The catch is that this drug hits me incredibly hard, like a truck. So judging by the schedule you described, I'm only taking 1 mg weekly, and personally I can't see any reason to go higher. I'm in week 3 now, it appears to be getting stronger, and I haven't changed the dose. I suppose I must be doing something right since I haven't titrated up, though plenty of people I've seen bump their dose each week. I experience no food noise, no hunger, no cravings, nothing at all. On top of that, I'm eating just 1,500 calories per day with plenty of protein and exercising daily. So in your case, if you're similar to me, you might want to stay at a steady mg unless all of that comes back.

When I took my initial .5 shot, I had a very mild headache and some constipation. As for my wife, she experienced zero side effects whatsoever.

That's quite curious. Headaches have never been an issue for me. My experience is different: once I inject, the following day brings heavy tiredness. That exhaustion sticks around for just that one day post-injection, and after that I return to my usual state.

That's curious—my wife got up and mentioned feeling full of energy. As for me, my energy levels stayed the same.

Are you hitting the gym every day? For me, after a brutal leg session followed by roughly an hour on the stairs, I still don't feel wiped out — energy stays high. The odd part is that the fatigue hits me the day after my injection, and it lingers all day. Every other day I'm fine, just that one. Since starting reta, my energy has been consistently elevated. Before reta, eating 1500 calories left me starving and completely drained.

Not daily—3-4 times weekly. Before I started pinning, muay thai class was 3 days a week for me, but since reta is said to raise heart rate, I'm pausing those classes until I can gauge what my heart rate does under heavy load. Right now I'm at home with jumping rope, push ups, sit ups, squats, dumbbells and hitting the bag.

Usually I do get energized after a workout, though if it's a "im going to kick your asses" class, then the rest of the day I'm not energized.

I've heard reta boosts energy through a higher metabolism and the resulting rise in energy source out put?

Reta raises heart rate, yes — that happens through the resting energy expenditure boost you mentioned. What I can't say for certain is whether that heart rate bump carries over into intense activity, whether that's Muay Thai or standard weight training. My understanding is that it lifts your overall beats per minute, and your resting beats per minute too, as a result of the glucagon effect.

That glucagon effect is fascinating and impressive. What kind of training are you doing at the gym? Did your heart rate show anything that worried you?

My routine includes metabolic conditioning on 4 days each week, and I track my heart rate while training. During workouts, my HR has stayed the same. What’s odd is that my resting HR used to be 60, but within the past 5 days it has dropped to 52. A bit strange.
