T120: What's the point of such a big single vial?

ScienceHippo said:

I have seen this image several times now, but I have still never found the source of it. Today I watched over two hours of interviews with Peter Magic and didn't hear a thing about freezing reconstituted. Lyophilized, yes. I know it doesn't mean he hasn't said it, I just haven't found it yet.

I did learn a few other things from those interviews. GLP1s in particular, are much more hardy than most people think. Shake your solution, no problem. Leave it on the counter for a few days, who cares. Don't need BAC when saline or just sterile water is fine. EU doesn't even use BAC. Hearing all of this does make me think freezing is probably fine, but again I just haven't seen an authoritative source yet.

Aren't we all here to "do our own research"? Believe me, I am trying.

An alternative is to simply put a vial in the freezer and then give it a go. That's how I found out that tirz and survo both handle freezing without issues. Right now I'm using up my final vial of compound that I stuck in the freezer last fall, then lost track of, and only began using this April. It's holding up perfectly well.

100% agree, and it's the same story with Reta when you're just beginning. Maybe not the ideal approach, but it got the job done. Everything here is a trial, and it comes down to how much risk you're willing to take on.

I intend to follow through with that approach. A T60 kit is arriving in a few days, though my actual requirement is only T30. My plan is to split it into 2 vials, placing 1 in the freezer.

I'm familiar with several individuals who take 15 mg per dose. Splitting a 120 mg vial among them seems like a sensible approach. Another advantage: if you reside somewhere with tight border controls and the package happens to get past inspection, it's comparable to smuggling in 4 TR30 kits.

As others have mentioned, freezing tirz after reconstitution is possible, depending on how much risk you're willing to accept. If I went that route, I'd divide it into single-dose vials or cartridges before freezing, then move one to the fridge to thaw for 24 hours prior to my injection day.

Some vendors are listing T120. Why would anyone want that much in 1 vial? Are these med spa operators dosing several clients from it? If you're 1 person, 15mg/week means 8 weeks to finish it. My dose is only 5mg/week, so a T30 lasts me 6 weeks. Just wondering, still picking things up. Thanks.

Probably because that works out to the lowest cost for each mg.

Where’s the problem, though? For tirz, 8 weeks still falls within what I’m comfortable with.

I’ve got 140mg of Reta on the way, and I can handle it on my own without any trouble. The reason I picked it up was that it was the least expensive route to buying grams… the same logic behind my T120 purchase.

Sure, the cost per mg works out lowest that way. For me, 8 weeks would likely be about as long as I'd feel okay stretching it, while 24+ weeks is out of the question. After all, I'm only taking 5mg. 😛

When it comes to a T120 vial, my guess is that certain people taking smaller doses intend to divide the contents among several vials, then freeze the mixed vials until they are ready to use them. Tirzepatide is a resilient peptide, so putting reconstituted vials in the freezer does not cause problems. Because my dose is high, a 120mg vial of tirzepatide lasts me just 6 or 7 weeks.
What size vial is T120 sold in?
3ml
No, not at all. I use 6ml to reconstitute, lol

As far as I know, it's a 10ml vial?
The ones arriving for us are 3ml; I can't speak to what other suppliers provide.

When you use a filter, what matters isn't the shipping vial—it's whether the weight can be properly reconstituted within that volume.
Alright, that makes sense. The only place I've come across those stronger concentrations is in the larger vials. So where the hell does that r140 come from? Also, what's the vial size, and are there COAs? I'd really like more details!
a couple of weeks back, I picked up 2 from a GB

WW GB. Vials are 3ml, and COA's are available, yes. Endo as well, I'm fairly sure. I'm aware of who produces it, but I'd rather not share that here. A kit has been ordered by me.
I like to gather good GBs, can you dm me a link?
Every TG group GB I follow has wrapped up. More will come along, I'm sure.

The R140 and T120 kits got way more hype than they deserved. Instead, grab 1 vial of T10 or R5 along with a case of empty 10-mL vials:

My guess is that the biggest driver is dose escalation: after 18+ months on Tirz, a lot of people feel it stops working as well, so they push past the 15mg ceiling to hold onto the appetite supression. I ordered T120 myself because after 2 years it no longer hits like it used to, so I’m at 20mg every 5 days now and will likely bump it up again before long. At that rate the T120 covers roughly 5 weeks, which suits me fine. Reconstituting T60 vials every couple of weeks had gotten old.

I've got R140 on the way as well. It's supplied in 3ml vials. My plan is to mix with 6ml BAC across 2 vials. That should yield 17-18 shots. My wife and I will both draw from them. 17-18 doses in total. That keeps me within my comfort zone for 9 weeks.

I was thinking the exact same thing not long ago, and then I came across a comment about someone giving peps to their horses, which made it click a little more 🤣

I had been under the impression that people doing research only kept a vial going for 4 weeks, but I’m assuming it’s possible to stretch them out further?

Would it maybe get my cat to quit bugging me about food? She's getting a bit rounder as she gets older. 😄

Once freezing enters the picture, I figure you may as well just grab T60 😆

From what I've seen, the amount you save at that size seldom justifies the hassle outlined here IMO

That said, if you're able to go through it inside that window, then fine.

And honestly, 8-12 weeks isn't terrible when the BAC was a new bottle as well. Afterall the BAC bottle itself can last that long. . . And 10mg/w can use 120mg in 12, even if its pushing it a little.

For me, my wife is on it too, so it doesn't take too long to use quite a bit for two people.

You're likely correct — I paid roughly 22% less for T140 than the lowest price I could find for T60.

As long as you're able to go through it within a sensible window, the numbers look better.

Say you're on 12.5mg and it's 22% cheaper — that works out to $26 saved over a year.

Even so, it's a low-cost, low-effort method to add depth to your stock.

Hold on, what? One individual person puts 60mg of a GLP-1 into their body each week?

Having choices is nice. If a couple of people under the same roof are both taking it, that's likely when it pays off most. If the price were right and I were still at 15 mg per week, I'd likely pick it up.

For my own use, a single 5ml vial is all I bother with. I also have a few 10ml ones sitting around, but they aren't necessary. My approach is to reconstitute the R140 using 3ml of BAC, then filter that into a fresh 5ml vial, after which I draw 2ml more BAC and add it to the same 5ml vial. This requires a few 3ml luer lock syringes.

The claim that reconstituted tirz can be frozen only shows up in these forums, as far as I can tell. People on my other forums, and on reddit, don't seem to share that view. Is there somewhere I can read up on this? Thanks.

I'm with you. This whole thing doesn't make sense to me either. My understanding was that you're not supposed to freeze it.

Not long ago I came across a comment from a different member who said he mixed up a whole kit in one go. He put 9 of them in the freezer and kept 1 for use. Whenever he needed one, he would thaw 1 out. That sounds pretty handy.
