I'm past 50 and on Triz 7.5. For 30 years I've been lifting 5 days each week. My goals are to drop another 10+ pounds, get more energy (I'm constantly fatigued), and build additional muscle. My plan is to lower my Triz dose and introduce Reta. Do any other middle aged guys have suggestions for what to add to my stack?

I’m 51.

Right now I’m running Tirz alongside Reta, and I’m really happy with it. The difference has been obvious to me. The weight is coming off steadily. Getting a six pack would be great, and I think this stack makes that possible. No food noise at all. I’m in the gym no fewer than 5 days. I lift, I walk, and I watch my wifey while she trains too. LOL.

Glow, Semax/Selank, and TRT are also part of my routine. What I feel from this specific stack is something I really like.

After a lot of reading and hearing other people’s experiences… MotC, SS31, and NAD are what I want to try next. Supposedly it’s amazing.

I’ll most likely pause Semax/Selank for a month and give this new set a go.

Tesa stays. Tirz/Tesa is an amazing combo. I’m sticking with it.

What's your dosing protocol? Should I simply experiment and go by feel? Are you running Tirz, Reta, and Tesa all at once?

It really comes down to where your metabolic health stands, plus several other specifics.

Should you be dealing with "sluggish" feelings, a course of ss-31 AND Mots-c might help — or you could simply switch over to Reta from Tirz, or even tack on a Reta increase of 500 to 1000mcg alongside whatever Tirz dose you're already using.

Absent additional background health data, anyone throwing out more pep suggestions would basically just be firing off names at random.

Try searching for "mitochondrial protocol" — that's worth reading up on. My plan is to cycle through it on a regular basis.

Adding CJC+IPA is a solid option too, and the same goes for GHK-CU.

Other than my weight issues, I'm in good health. I started at 207lbs and Tirz brought me down to 183lbs, and I'm 5ft10. That's not a terrible weight (though I'd like it to be lower — seeing some abs would be great).

Old guy stack by reseach

Bpc157

Tb500

GHK-CU

Ara290

Nad+

Mots c

Ss31

Epitalon (run 3 weeks 3 x yearly idea)

Cjc dac/impormelin

Hgh but this stores water

Cognitive/sleep

Semax

Selank

Dsip?

Treziptide vs. Reta vs sema, well many use sema during a cut now belive it or not.

This is

Fat - Retatrutide + MOTS-c

Recovery,injury healing - BPC-157 + TB-500

Healthy aging,energy - MOTS-c + SS-31 + Epitalon

Muscle retention and recovery, CJC-1295 w Ipamorelin

Personally Retatrutide at 4mg weekly spilt between 2mg and 2mg like Mon and Friday idea.

Works really well but everyone's body is different. By getting bloodwork proper you can see whats low as to which is causing you low engery.. winging it isnt really the best way when its so easy to get your bloods

Which blood panels would you recommend I ask for?

This protocol comes from my own design, drawing on many anecdotal accounts shared across this forum, and I'm now 2 weeks into running it. 54M

That chart is great… thanks! How's it going for you with it up to now?

51M checking in. My $0.02:

Reta at 2.5mg/wk — 20lbs gone across 3 months (27%BF down to 18%BF). A two week stall in loss pushed me up to 4mg/wk just now.

KLOW at 2.5mg GHK-Cu plus 0.5mg each of KPV, BPC157 & TB500, run daily. The knee injury has healed; the 3rd vial is nearly done and then I cycle off.

CJC/Ipa at 250mcg each, twice daily for a month. Sleep was excellent — strongly recommended. Recovery and energy matter enough to me that sleep ranks high on the list. Low energy? Take a hard look at your sleep hygiene. My bedtime routine kicks off at 10pm nightly, and CJC/Ipa had me out cold almost immediately.

CJC/Ipa is out and HGH started this week — supposedly the better route for older folks. IGF-1 labs were drawn before the switch and I'm still waiting on results.

SS31 and MOTS-c are tempting given their reputation, though I'm fairly tired of so many injections.

Getting comprehensive labs done is something I strongly suggest… I noticed another member already mentioned this too. You want to look at your whole metabolic picture as well.

On top of that… my routine is 5mg Tirz weekly plus 2mg Tesa every night. Since Tesa needs an empty stomach, my last meal is at 8pm — no exceptions. Tesa really does improve sleep for me. I also take 5mg Creatine each night. I sleep wonderfully.

Tesa is a secretogoblin… do some reading on it before starting. Labs are useful here too.

Reta isn't part of my stack right now. I've never used it.

I'm not sure switching from Tirz to Reta makes sense. You're already getting good results on Tirz, and you only have another 10lbs you want to lose. Reta's side effects won't do anything to fix your tiredness.

On top of that, I'd argue you don't really need a pile of extra peps (even though it's enjoyable).

HGH and Test will give you the most value for your money. That's especially true if you're fine with getting bloodwork done. At this stage, TRT is probably something you could get prescribed.

It's also worth checking out the healing/anti inflammatory peptides. BPC-157,TB4(TB500),KPV, GHK-Cu. The cognitive ones are enjoyable to research too; Epitalon,Semax(Adamax,NA),Pinealon,Ceberolysin.

Coming back to the main point, though, most of those are basically like testing random supplements and just as effective (meaning not). TRT,HGH and your current GLP-1 are the heavy lifters here so I would recommend focusing on getting those dialed. Then dabble with which ever other stuff that you feel like.

TLDR; TRT

Hi, I noticed that you are always tired. Have you been tested for sleep apnea?

Yeah, I had a sleep study about 3 years back and it came back moderate/severe. They put me on wegovy, and I dropped weight. Then my insurance quit paying, and I put most of it back on... About 5 months ago I switched to compound Tirz, and the pounds have been coming off well. My guess is that the extra weight was behind most of my sleep apnea?

It might have to do with your weight, but then again it might not. Regardless, if that thing is just sitting there unused, then for heaven's sake wear the mask, dude lol. Sleep Apnea is going to mess you up completely. Using it 100% of the time is the only acceptable approach, unless your doctor tells you it's no longer necessary, or you're tracking your sleep every night and your ahi comes in under 5 per night!

A mask was never prescribed to me. Honestly, I never brought it up with my Dr... The sleep test was ordered by my DR 3 years ago to check whether insurance would cover the wegovy.

Since I've got more years on me than you do, I'm just going to go ahead and call myself an authority on matters pertaining to old guys.

My Tirz dose is quite low — 1.5mg. Once my SS-31 cycle wraps up, roughly 10 days from now, I plan to bring in MOTS c along with Ipamorelin. My own take is that Tirz simply won't be enough to strip off that final 10 lbs of fat that refuses to budge.

Beyond that, my view is that everything comes down to what you eat and how you train, and from the sound of it you've already handled that side. The only other thing that crosses my mind is that I'm considering restarting some version of TRT — possibly just a small dose of Enclomiphene, which has worked for me, meaning my own testosterone production system is evidently still doing its job. It's not as effective as exogenous TRT, and I haven't come across much of anything that can rival that for improving body composition — at least nothing that's legal.

I was separating the blend so I could see how many mg of each ingredient I'd get per dose. Nothing extra beyond that.

+/-60 here

TRT helped me a lot, but I ran labs and did a lot of reading before I began.

If your BMI is still elevated, estradiol problems can pop up, so I held off until I reached a normal BMI.

The NAD-MOTS-SS31 combo appeared to help when paired with supplements.

A big chunk of fatigue often comes from eating too little: increase protein to support energy.

Until you are nearer your BMI target, I would put the emphasis on mitochondrial support, supplements, and diet, though plenty of guys begin TRT earlier or use other secretagogues to raise T, which is absolutely a game changer. Just remember these can nudge the scale up a bit while improving composition.

STEP 1 is blood work:

My Energy-supplement cycle

After reviewing a lot of suggestions, this is what I settled on; note that SS31 is usually dosed at 30-40mg or higher, but most protocols use 5mg for 5 days.

Build the NAD up before starting and after finishing SS31

The SS31 should help the MOTS be more effective

Definitely take TMG when NAC or NAD dosing

SS-31 and Mots-c Protocol

I'm 60, stand 5' 11", weigh around 160 (down from 250 at the start), and sit at 12-13% body fat. For over 5 years now, weight hasn't been a problem. I feel 40. Having visible abs is enjoyable; loose skin can conceal things, but the rewarding part is building the body back up so muscle fills that loose skin.

Mots/SS31 ought to support metabolic health, and as a side effect there's a lift in energy. It isn't a Red Bull-style jolt, more subdued. My wife and I describe it as making us feel more "jaunty" and inclined to walk beyond our typical 4-6 miles daily. Not a hyped-up energy, but an improved long-haul endurance that keeps you moving.

Stay with it, and be sure your diet is dialed in, otherwise most of these peps go to waste when you aren't optimizing nutrition to support their signaling. My view: don't bring the car to a mechanic if you're only going to fill it with junk fuel. A finely tuned machine demands better fuel and more upkeep, and honestly, nothing tastes as good as good old physical fitness feels.

I once took 30-40 ibuprofen weekly, and now I haven't taken a single one in 2026. Peps, diet, activity, and positivity all contribute- 👍👍

Nice work! 12-13% body fat is incredible! Yep, that's exactly the kind of energy I'm after!
