Before this I was getting my needles from Walgreens, then I came across a 100 pack of Reli On needles for $12. I realize ordering them online is an option, I just haven't done it yet.

Up until lately I'd never had any kind of reaction. After doing two ghk cu injections, the reactions were really bad. These days, regardless of what I inject, a welt shows up along with bruising. The switch to the new needles and the ghk cu both happened on the same day.

On top of that, these needles seem to cause more pain. There's a bit more bleeding too. So could the ghk cu be behind some sort of long-term histamine response, or do the needles seem like the more probable cause? Anyone else here used these needles?

And what's a reliable source for buying easy touch needles in bulk? I've read that they make a huge difference!

As for the needles, I can't say much, but I've come across many reports of reactions tied to GHK-cu. Now, regarding the needles—which gauge do you use?

My hunch is that the fresh ones could be less sharp. I used to figure all needles were the same, yet after years of use I've noticed certain ones cut better than others.

ReliOn is Walmart's store brand for diabetes products. Using them wouldn't worry me at all.

Do you switch up where you inject? On the basic tracking spreadsheet I put together, I have a column for that. My pattern covers every pairing of left or right, belly or inner thigh, upper or lower on that spot ... overkill, but no harm in it? So the order is

However, each peptide still triggers a reaction in me 🙁 30 and 31g

I switched over to the Reli On ones, and now I'm dealing with reactions plus they hurt worse.

I do move the injection site around to different areas of my body, but no matter where I put it, a welt shows up 🙁

If it's being pinned solo instead of combined with the other parts of GLOW/KLOW, then GHK-Cu is almost certainly the culprit.

The needle might be making things a touch worse, but a blunt or bigger gauge pin isn't going to produce a welt the way GHK-Cu does.

Options to try: mix it with KPV, BPC 157, or TB 500, or add more bac water to dilute it. Another approach is to pin wherever you have the most fat. Plenty of people use their love handles or glutes.

Are bruises or welts showing up when you inject other peptides as well? If so, which peptides are you currently injecting?

Since California has sensible syringe rules (no Rx needed, no cap, the pharmacist just decides), my advice would be to go ahead and pick up a box of higher-end ones right now and check whether that clears things up. If it doesn't, at least you'll have a stash of good syringes waiting once you figure out what's actually causing it.

To help others pitch in, one thing to clear up: was the very day you switched to ReliOn syringes also your first time ever using GHK-Cu? And did you also start a fresh vial of bac water then, both for that and for the other peptides you're injecting?

Even after diluting heavily, the welting didn't stop.

Every shot I've done since that one injection and since I changed needles now causes welts.

My Tirz, KPV, BPC, CJC/IPA, and now and then Cagri all leave welts and bruises…

So the needles are my main concern. I believe I'm rotating properly, yet no matter where I pin, it burns and itches..

For 3 months I used peps without any problems..🙁

My first experience with GHK-cu, and also my first day on ReliOn. I halted GHK-cu after 2 doses, yet the welts kept appearing. The bac water hasn't changed—still Hospira. Storage and reconstitution are handled very carefully on my end.

Were it me, swapping to another brand of needle would be the first thing I'd do. A few of the peptides you listed are notorious for causing irritation at the injection site. Pure speculation on my part, but the needles themselves might be the culprit — anything from the metals used to how they're manufactured and coated.

Yeah, that lines up with what I suspect. On top of that, they hurt more and cause bleeding. The Walgreens version never gave me trouble, though I can only get 10 per day from them. My plan is to go back to those and keep the ReliOn around just as a backup, then watch whether the problem goes away. Right now my stomach and legs have roughly 10 bruises and welts. The 2 injections I did earlier in my leg were incredibly painful.

Have you considered an antihistamine to see whether it makes the reactions better or less severe? I wouldn't dismiss the needles or GHK as possible culprits, but it might help cut the reactions down somewhat.

Also, just wondering — do these needles match your previous ones in length? A more shallow injection that lands in the dermis rather than sub-q might also trigger a reaction.

Additional suggestions, in case you aren't already doing these:

  • draw with a fresh syringe every single time. The point gets blunted with each injection. This is one of the main reasons pens beat vials.
  • go in at 45 degrees or shallower rather than straight down into the skin

My needle size is 6mm, and I inject at a slight angle, just like I did previously. On top of that, I gave Flonase a try after seeing that it can calm the reaction site. Last night I also took Benadryl, but honestly it didn't appear to do anything.

Thanks! I use 6mm at an angle and I never draw twice! The only thing I switched up with my injections was the needles, honestly

For GHK, I moved over to a pen fitted with a 32G 4mm needle.

When dosing 0.15 ml (15u), I inject 5u at a time across 3 sites, spacing them roughly 1 cm apart. Bruising and hard lumps are now gone for me.

Hello, I use 31g, 8mm needles to inject 1mg of ghk-cu every day. My injection site is the fatty area of my glutes, and I haven't had any problems.

I don't push hard. I rest the needle against my skin, let it sink in on its own, then press deeper at a 45 degree angle. There's no pain. When I injected into the muscular part of my glute I got bruises, so now I'm very careful about where I inject.

Also, after pulling the liquid from the vial into an insulin syringe, I replace the cap and let it sit for about 10 min so the liquid reaches room temperature before I inject. That helps!!

My spreadsheet is set up nearly identically...I believe I mark 'H' and 'L' for hi and lo...apart from that, it's the same... 👍
