Refund experiences with vendors: how long did it take?

There's a person in this community who waited 8 weeks without receiving what they ordered. According to that person, the vendor's response was essentially [[Q1]].

Update: After 8 weeks, the order did arrive in the end. A late arrival still beats no arrival.

Give them 1 or 2 days of courteous follow-up. If they keep stalling after that, your next move is to tell them you'll post a public negative review. That approach tends to get results!
Even if that approach gets results, it's not something I'm comfortable with. My hope is that this won't become a problem at all.
Oh yeah....it slips my mind that China is supposedly our "friend"!

There are clearly multiple perspectives in this thread, and I appreciate that you're staying patient, understanding, and open to giving the wholesaler a chance to fix things.

A lot of us, particularly in America, tend to carry the attitude that it's our way or nothing, even though we don't really understand what actually happens behind the scenes at a Chinese operation. The way foreign policies and work ethics function is nothing like how things are done in the US. I realize you're in Australia, but still, every country handles and approaches these kinds of situations in its own way, or at least that's how I see it.

Honestly, I just rambled without saying much, BUT, putting all that aside, you're a good guy for being willing to wait and see how it plays out before passing judgment.

Could you share the vendor name here, or DM it to me? I'll tell you whether they're legit or not.

Exactly this. No disrespect intended, but folks act like they're ordering off Amazon Prime. In reality, you're dealing with a drug dealer thousands of miles away. I've placed multiple orders across 4 or 5 vendors, and I go in expecting weeks of waiting, plus possible snags here and there. Vet your sources properly and you won't get scammed, it just sometimes drags on.

Let me clear up a couple of points: I'm located in the US, and I only brought up the Australian situation because I saw it playing out on TG, which was disheartening to witness. Also, I'm a woman—Amos was the name of my dog. It's dawned on me that my username gives the wrong impression, haha. My bad about that.

I have no doubt they're a legitimate vendor, at least one of the larger ones on this platform.

That said, I suspect the expectations we Americans have been conditioned to hold about shipping and 'customer first' service simply can't apply to how we deal with vendors, because the reality is so different. A lot of us are pampered and disconnected from how things actually work, or honestly just foolish or rude. It gets annoying at times, but since everything is so murky, that's just how it is. Some vendors are probably more customer-oriented, but in the end it's all driven by money, and greed will surface sooner or later.

From the moment a vendor tells you 'I have submitted a refund request' to when they say 'it's been approved' and the money is actually back in your hands — how long did that take for you?

If a week or so is typical, then I'll stop stressing. But I can't tell if I'm just being kept on the hook and should push them to move faster, or if I should keep waiting even longer. Yesterday they messaged me out of the blue (I hadn't reached out) repeating that it had been submitted and asking me to please be patient. I told them no problem. Still, I'd like to know how long this is really supposed to take.
You can't just sit back and wait — you need to keep pushing them. They'll keep feeding you excuses for as long as they can get away with it. In my case, I've ended up calling them out in their public chat. Once that happens, they suddenly move fast. The moment I make their service visible to everyone, my refund shows up. I don't enjoy handling it that way, but at the same time I figure I'm doing a favor for whoever comes next — maybe they'll pause before choosing that vendor. Holding onto someone's money like that isn't right, especially when that money is what you need to make a purchase.

Honestly, in my view, these sellers from China are on our side far more than the FDA and Big Pharma duo, who will only offer us things such as GLP1 at outrageous prices. When Big Pharma's prices are out of reach for us, they are perfectly fine watching people die from obesity-related diseases and so on, or instead they'll turn around and sell you their other medications that address the symptoms (Statins, for example) and so on, without curing the root problem.

Just thinking about going down that road makes me incredibly anxious. Drama is something I can't stand, and I really don't want to be put on the spot. On top of that, I feel awful when someone's feelings get hurt — especially if it turns out I got the wrong idea about something and ended up unfairly making them look bad. Either way, my only hope is that they simply go through with giving me my money back, so this whole thing can finally be finished.

That made me boomerang lol (you laugh, you begin to move on, then it lands again and you crack up once more). I move to swap out "it is what it is" and "well, what do you expect" as shrug-phrases in favor of "It's a Chinese drug dealer Bill."

That's 100% exactly right. A lot of the younger crowd joining these GB for the first time clearly never bother to read anything. The organizer literally states "This can take 6-12 weeks, or longer." Usually it's made to order, and it's shipped from China. Shipping, customs, all of that. Then just a few weeks in: "where's my stuff." I bet they're dying to strangle those people. Same folks who never looked into the stuff at all, just heard about it from a friend, and then invent some insane dosing schedule.

You're correct when it comes to big pharma, but don't let the "DEAR and HONEY bs" fool you. If your health mattered to them, they wouldn't be selling underdosed or overdosed items, products with wrong labels, or stuff containing endotoxins. Should their product kill you, NO one will be held accountable. They have a business model, they stick to it, and we keep buying! IT"S CHINA...

Seems like you're a favorite of theirs! Over here, it's been nothing but the "Hello Friend" routine for me recently. 😢

There's no drama being caused and nobody's feelings are getting hurt, lol. To them this is a massive operation, so it's never personal. Just keep it courteous and don't let it slip off your radar.

Sadly, since this is the grey market, they count on you staying quiet because you feel awkward. When your cash matters to you, there are times you have to make it clear you mean business.

If you don't want to deal with the hassle, I'd follow the advice others have given. Leave them a negative review. Based on conversations I've had with people in this community, it seems like they know just the right things to say that will put a vendor in a really awkward spot.

A similar approach works if you say something like "I realize some things are outside your control, but I do appreciate your help in sorting this out," and add that "once the order arrives, I'll post a positive review" on x,y,z platform. That tends to work much better than grumbling to them about writing a bad review.

Apply pressure in an indirect way, and you'll keep getting your dears and hearts as well as the goods... Do the same thing face to face at a restaurant, and there's a chance your food won't be spit in either.

You can find BPC-157 that is 100% counterfeit on Amazon. Buyers assume it's legitimate since checking the fine print on the bottle is too much trouble. To those of us here, that sounds ridiculous, but the average person doesn't even know what a peptide is.

This is where the refund stands right now. 😕

Because she can't do anything about it, I didn't see any reason to keep pestering her. But now that they've got my package again, they truly need to finish what they started.
