Safer by an order of magnitude. After my second pfizer shot I got a pulmonary embolism. Symptoms began roughly 2 days following the second injection. I was in the hospital for 5 days, nearly died, and permanently lost lung capacity.

They keep mailing me bills. I believe the total is now $19,000.

Immediately he said he would not prescribe blood thinners and required proof of an embolism. He wouldn't let me use my phone or let me call the office myself for the records. His office was 3 hours from home and I had no car. He told me to take Aspirin instead. I asked him "What does Aspirin do to the blood?" He said my history of bipolar disorder (I always tell new doctors about my mental health and substance abuse history) must be making me act irrationally, and suggested I calm down.

For years, I steered clear of THE vaccine, and that held until 2024, when Immigration and Customs required it. At that point I had no choice but to get Faucieed. Back in high school, I was preparing for the medical entrance exams with the goal of attending medical school. After I was selected for both tracks, I made the foolish call to go into engineering. One of my classmates, though, did continue on and became a doctor at a hospital in Paris. When a patient on his ward died following the vaccine, he performed an autopsy to protect himself. He lost his job, and these days he works in India.

I'm completely on the same page as you...the tales I have are endless. While the pandemic was in full swing and the shots were first being distributed, I was employed at a 911 center....unbelievable!

Yeah, that's my situation too. It's not that I was dead set against them—I just wanted to be careful given how new the technology was ...but then the rollout happened. The number of ambulance calls we got in a single day was off the charts...completely insane...after that my sister-in-law, then a co-worker...I'm firmly out.

Funny thing is, I'm in the Bay Area, and skipping the vaccine was super uncommon around here. No way my kids were going to get it, though. At school one day, the teacher told everyone to put their hand up if they'd had the vaccine. Out of everyone, my oldest was the only kid whose hand stayed down. So I asked him what that felt like. "Dad, I was like fuck you, made me glad I didn't get it, like I'm going to be pressured into getting it, fuck that". I smiled and told him "son, Apple don't fall far from tree, love you".

My sister in law went through the same thing — a full blown PE hit her 8 hours after the injection, and unfortunately she passed away.

A co worker of mine, 38 yrs old, on the SWAT team, in fantastic shape, was found dead in his bed during a family vacation just after his second...his heart was inflammd with water around it...very scary.

It's good to hear that most people's reactions weren't that bad, but yes, the gaslighting toward the injured is ridiculous.

Good lord, that sounds awful. If I hadn't gotten to a hospital when I did, that could've been my story too. Or if the physicians had kept jerking me around for 3 more hours — and naturally, that's exactly what they did during the initial 3.

The pain made it impossible to lie down inside the MRI. They started with an antipsychotic shot. Next came a benzodiazepine injection. Then fentanyl. Every time, they'd tell me to lie back, and every time I couldn't manage it. Eventually they administered ketamine. I shot up out of the chair — the doctor was not pleased — pushed his hands away, and scrambled up into the machine as if it were a cockpit. And wow, was that morphine a good time for the following week!

Compared to that, it sounds like I had it pretty easy.

If I hadn't gotten the Covid vaccines, I'd already be gone. That's just how it is. Black, old, fat, and immunocompromised. Right — people like us were dropping first. So of course I gladly took every vaccine going.

Honestly, if you're doing everything the smart way — checking where things come from, testing, filtering — then Chinese peptides in general are pretty darn safe, and whatever downsides might come up usually aren't that serious.

Ordering from random Tic-Toc influencers is a different situation, but when it's done right, I don't feel like its a high risk activity at all.

Sure, some of the actual peps may carry bigger risks than others, but that isn't really a Chineese sourcing issue.

First, let's set aside the bad information claiming that people from developing nations score unreasonably low – those assessments tend to carry cultural assumptions or depend on English comprehension, so evaluating particular groups involves a degree of nuance that was routinely overlooked before the 2000's.

In principle, Raven's matrices ought to give a reading of nearly anyone's IQ. What they actually capture, though... how that gets applied is unclear to me.

Using the test from communitypsychometrics, I've run friends, family, and myself through it. It lands within roughly ±10 points, and it usually shaves off a few points from true ability. English speakers are the only ones it works for.

The outcomes were interesting. My score landed well above average, yet two people in my circle left it far behind. One of them used to huff gasoline, and because of how he handles social situations, people often misjudge him as "a little slow". The other is a woman who gets pulled in constantly by political misinformation, fake news, MLMs, and appears unable to follow many kinds of reasoning. Neither is someone you'd single out as the smartest person present. Neither is someone who never makes mistakes.

I'm not even sure why I brought this up – I just find personality and intelligence testing fascinating, and I wish I could test more people I know personally, so I'd have a clearer sense of what scores mean and where they apply 😅

I agree completely — that's exactly the point. When you can actually think through the risks and follow them to their logical conclusion, the very worst outcome amounts to a hospital visit for antibiotics or antihistamines — perhaps endotoxins leave you with lasting but reversible harm to some organ system?

Compare that to the worst that could happen while commuting during rush hour... or from obesity left untreated.
