I figure the amount I can sensibly stock will come down to how long it stays stable before breaking down. Is there any reliable data on that yet?
Could you clarify what a full kit consists of?

From a vendor on this board, I placed an order for a single kit containing 10 vials, each with 50 mg of Retatrutide - shipping is expected to begin on February 28, once Chinese New Year has passed.

At my present dose of just 2 mg/week (this morning was my first 2 mg injection, following 2 weeks at 1 mg/week), that works out to 250 weeks of peptide. 🙂 I'm not sure what my final dose will be, but it seems like I won't need to restock for quite some time.
For such a small dose, that kit is huge! I’d never keep a vial going past 25 weeks (even with my high risk tolerance, 8–12 weeks is my cutoff). Reta doesn’t hold up well when frozen (Tirz is different), so if you’re hoping vials will stay good for even part of that stretch, your best bet is to filter and reconstitute into several sterile carts (or vials). That way, after mixing, you’ll only puncture one vial 10–15 times and can keep the others cold and away from light.

You’ve got plenty! It was inexpensive. If anything seems even slightly wrong, throw it out. Sorry to be a downer. Check out a recon calculator such as btpepcalc in my tagline below.

There’s no rush. If it’s coming from China, you probably won’t have it before mid March. Research what you need to order sterile carts, syringes, and filters, and how to use them. Vendors are listed here, and there are videos showing the process. Best of luck!
I'm curious—what source are you getting the freezing response details from?

From what I've come across, tirz has a reputation for holding up well under freezing, but that doesn't automatically mean reta behaves the same way. I wasn't aware that reta was considered to do badly in that area (as opposed to just being unknown).
I'm curious too — from what I gather, the real enemies are freeze-thaw cycles and moisture. My approach is to keep everything inside insulated containers in the freezer.

Every modern freezer comes with that handy "frost free" function, but here's the thing: nothing magical is actually going on. "Frost free" just means the freezer periodically warms up to melt away the frost.... neat feature, but it's bad news for peptides or honestly for any food you want to store long term.

Some freezers are manual defrost models, and those are the ones you want for keeping things fresh longer.... or, like me, you try to dodge the thaw cycle in a modern freezer by using insulated containers
If it's still in powder form — puck intact, no dampness inside, vacuum still holding — my own take is that a freezer keeps it viable for years. With Tirz, room temperature might not ruin it for years either?!? (I wouldn't count on that, though). As long as it remains freeze dried, a freezer defrost cycle is nothing to stress over; simply store it away from light and in a cool spot.

Putting your BAC in the freezer? Not advisable. That said, if it happened by mistake, I'd likely still use it (because I'm both frugal and a bit reckless). Wishing you the best on your journey!

TRIZ holding up in the fridge for that stretch is news to me ...so blocking light is all triz needs, then. Even so, for months or maybe years of doors opening and closing, I'd probably still put it in something insulated against temperature swings.

On the storage question, this may come off as overkill, but I dislike revisiting a decision, so my preference is to set things up once in the best possible conditions for freshness and then leave it alone until the moment it gets used, no matter when that is.

Freeze dried isn't guaranteed to be as flawless as people assume either, since my baseline assumption is zero moisture in an ideal scenario plus a container with no defects, while temperature cycling affects every organic material, and so do vibrations accumulating over time (compressor cycling) along with doors being opened and closed across a year.

For long-term vibration damping I'm a fan of the silicon holders, and for temperature fluctuation the hydrapeak insulated containers, which feels simple and keeps things steady

Likely far more than necessary, but out of sight out of mind, plus fast labeling and then tucked away until it's needed.

If you add freezer bags, desiccant pucks, and keep everything in an insulated container, that would take care of about half the worries you listed. It's likely more than you need and not really necessary, but if it gives you the mental comfort of feeling fully prepared, none of those items cost very much.

Plus, once you've gone all the way to Mad Max-level readiness for preserving your peptides, you've probably crossed into overdoing it—since in a world like that, I'd guess obesity wouldn't be much of a problem anymore.

There are countless approaches to this… here's the method I use

I've got 3200mg of Tirz and 720mg of Reta sitting in my freezer, stored inside airtight containers along with dry paks. So far, zero issues.

As for putting already reconstituted Reta in the freezer, eventually I'll just run the test on myself. All those behind-closed-doors experiments don't mean much if you can't access the write-ups, and needing to be in some special club just to read them doesn't do anyone any good. Like with most things, I'll be my own guinea pig and find out what happens. My Reta comes in 24 (28 actual) mg vials. That means when I make the switch, I'll have to at least try aliquoting.

honestly, I figure sticking it in some kind of insulated container—anything that keeps the cold in—inside the freezer is a smart move

Storing it in the freezer inside just about any cooler will keep it good for a very long time, years and years. I’ve got a few soft-sided zippered travel pouches that originally came with an ice pack, and those are what I use. Right now I’m sitting on 3 kits, and once I’m down to just 1 kit, I intend to restock.

My freezer holds a 3-year supply of tirz, and I've also got 2 years of low-dose sema tucked away in case a bump becomes necessary. I'm thinking about putting some reta in there too, to target visceral fat as I move toward maintenance.

I went overboard — at minimum 8 to 10 years of reta and tirz. On top of that, a few years' supply of several other compounds.

I've only ever used Reta ……just wondering, what made you decide to keep both?

I take 8mg of reta alongside 5mg of tirz. Tirz was what I began with, and for me the two together deliver great results. I've dropped 88lbs over 6 months

For me, reta by itself didn't work as well; the main effect comes from tirz's appetite suppression.

Exactly right! Since 1mg twice weekly seems like it'll be my ideal dose, my kit comes with 5mg vials—that way I'm not leaving a mixed vial in the fridge for weeks on end. I've still got roughly four pounds to go before I drop down to a maintenance dose.

On the freezer degradation question, I might start writing the purchase date on each vial from now on. If I remember to account for that 10% loss, it's probably something I can plan around pretty well. That goes double during maintenance.

I keep only what I'm actively using, no stockpiling here. I've got 3 kits: GHK-cu, T30 and Cagrilintide. 1 vial from each has been used.

Since I rotate my peptides and have been going back and forth between Sema and Tirz, building up a stash doesn't really work for me — I might want to give Reta a try down the line.

I have 7 kits, and each one is vacuum sealed on its own. They sit inside a double-insulated lunch box that has a walk-in style, along with a large plug-in desiccant pack.

Roughly 8 years of reta. This was the first pep I felt like stockpiling. Waiting on other deals might have cut costs, but having it set aside for the long haul feels good.

This is intriguing to me. Both my wife and I have had our appetites completely wiped out by the Reta. We stopped by the corner bar to catch up with friends and eat lunch. We ordered 6 wings to share, and I had 3 beers, which since starting this really make me feel full. For the usual Friday get-together, the neighbors dropped off some snacks at our place. I ate 3 celery sticks, 1 cherry tomato, and 2 slices of salami. We're both completely full, and the salmon is going to be cooked tomorrow. I drank a huge amount of water. At least to get some protein in, I made a small protein powder shake. FYI, we pinned our 3rd 4mg shot this morning.

Yeah… back in mid December things were great at 5mg… these days I’m on 12 mg and the appetite support has mostly worn off…

I’m trying to figure out what’s behind it.. so 5 days ago I cut out the tessa and ipa, I had added them back in mid December around when the shift occurred, to test whether they were the cause… we’ll find out

Appreciate it — is food noise hitting you? Reta is the only thing in our routine, though my eldest, a firefighter who also holds an RN, keeps pushing testosterone on me. He uses it himself, but he's also lifting. Funny enough, he's actually how I first heard about Reta. According to him, it would help me enormously. I told him I'd see a urologist, and he said he can source the juice. For my part, I'd rather have a doctor overseeing this one. Truth is, I haven't looked into it at all. I'm 66, never carried a huge amount of weight, but 215 is the most I can recall. 6 weeks in I'm at 199, having started 2/9. Goal is 175. Apologies for the long-winded reply — I tend to ramble.
