What dose of tirz are you on?

I'm at 12.5mg of tirz and it's clearly doing its job, but I still have 15+ pounds to go. After dropping 10 pounds I feel like I've plateaued. Would you call 15mg a high dose? Is anyone here using more than that? I'm considering moving up to 15mg.

I take 20mg once every seven days, and occasionally I'll do every five days instead. I'm a slow responder. I gave stacking with Cagri a try — the suppression was great for the first week only. I'm now at 3mg of Cagri and there's no suppression at all.

Honestly, I just use whatever amount is needed. Thursday, for instance, I took 7.5mg and the effects really weren't there.

Then on Sunday morning I took 11.25mg, and since then I've been completely satisfied with no side effects. I'm hoping that holds through the end of the week, but we'll see.

In my opinion, just listen to your body. If you're not getting side effects, go for it.

For Mounjaro and Zepbound, 15mg is the highest labelled dose, so officially that's the limit, and the standard titration moves up by 2.5mg roughly every four weeks. A few folks in here go beyond that, but it's off-label and from that point you're going on your own results. Hitting a stall at 12.5mg with 15lb left to lose isn't unusual, so before chasing the number, mate, I'd spend a few weeks tightening up your food tracking and protein.

I'm at 10mg. I've been titrating upward since March. And yes, 15 is a high dose — it's the highest one used in the Lilly trials.

Still, dosage alone doesn't tell the whole story. What does your calorie deficit look like, and what's your exercise routine?

I've gone down to 2mg because I appear to be a hyper-responder — I was still losing well past my goal weight while on 2.5mg. I'm still working on finding the sweet spot.

Are some of you on a higher dose?

So the top-end EL dose is 15mg, and as far as I understand there are also studies exploring 25mg.

I've been at 15mg for more than a year and I'm maintaining well — in fact, these last 2 weeks I tried to step down but I might end up going back up.

There are people in this forum on MUCH higher doses, with 1 or more stacks.

The highest I've seen is 80mg a week, but plenty are above 15mg.

If you're stalled and struggling to manage calories/hunger, I wouldn't hesitate to titrate up.

Looking at food choices is definitely smart too — sometimes a tweak there makes a difference.

You can eat a LOT of low calorie options and fill up. But I suspect you may be a low responder.

Not everyone responds as well as others, and you may need to add a stack like cagri or Elora to target Amylin, since your stats don't look promising.

It's concerning that you went up to 12.5 based on your signature statistics — it looks like you've only lost 12lbs so far.

Starting Weight- 172

Current Weight- 159.9

Goal Weight- 142

Per their literature, 10 or 15mg is maintenance for "all indications," whereas 5mg is maintenance for weight loss only.

If Eli had not been concerned about competing against its own future products, larger doses would likely exist by now — consider how Novo Nordisk released the enormous Wegovy HD 7.2mg, which triples the prior maximum.

Higher doses were tested in-house and patented by the company, yet it chose to cap the trials at 15mg.

Generally I am not a fan of straying from the pharma protocol, but given this plus the anecdotal reports of some people reaching 30mg, and the Sema megadose, going up to 25mg is almost certainly perfectly safe.

Naturally, just as moving from 2.4mg Sema to 7.2mg does not triple the weight loss, the Tirz effect tends to weaken along its trajectory as the dose rises, so do not count on a huge additional weight loss from another 10mg — though it should still be significant.

Every one of those figures was just a 'research' data point, collected so EL could make its case to the FDA for approval... They might just as well have chosen 3mg increases every 5 weeks and a 'top labeled dose' of 16.5mg, and then people would be repeating those numbers as if they were sacred and could never be adjusted....lol

The FDA has already said tirz is fine, and the EL 'trials' have finished.....looking for the dosing that actually suits you isn't 'off-label'...
