Using Epitalon more often than twice a year?

I’m wondering whether anyone in this community has tried Epitalon at a higher frequency than the usual 2x/year guidance, with sleep as the main focus.

Roughly 6 weeks back, I did a 10-day Epitalon cycle alongside DSIP and Selank/Semax (I kept taking the latter 2 for a longer stretch). While that first cycle was underway, my sleep got much better. Deep sleep went up, my sleep scores were reliably good, and I hardly woke up overnight.

Because it was a stack, figuring out whether Epitalon was doing most of the work, or whether the mix was responsible, wasn’t straightforward. Once the Epitalon was done, I stayed on DSIP + Selank/Semax, and for a while everything remained fairly steady.

Then, around 1–2 weeks ago, my sleep began slipping back toward how it was before. More waking at night, less deep sleep, and so on.

4 nights ago, I began another Epitalon round, and the past 2 nights have already gotten better. It’s not as good as that first cycle, but the trend is clearly moving back that way.

From most of what I’ve seen, the suggestion is to cycle Epitalon 2 times per year, but I’ve also seen people talk about using it more often (such as the first 10 days of every monthly.... monthly protocols).

So I’m asking..... Has anybody here taken Epitalon more often than 2x/year, particularly to help with sleep?

I take it once every 2 months, though the dose isn't large. My routine is 1/2 mg over a 20-day stretch,

A number of individuals report success with a routine of using it during the initial 10 days of each month. My own preference is a 20-day run, since I want the complete benefit, and I plan to repeat that 3 times annually. My initial round wrapped up in January, so I'll begin the next one in a few more weeks. That said, the 10-day approach is a common choice.

Your Epitalon amounts aren't mentioned - and really, no doses for any part of your stack are given. Honestly, that combination sounds like it could put someone into a coma!

My routine: 5 mg of Epitalon, 20 days, every 3 months. I inject it immediately before going to sleep.

My daily amount is just 1 mg. I've also got NA Epitalon Amidate on the way, and I plan to test it out.

Jfrick's stack is something I've come across previously, and a few individuals include Pinealon in it too.

What led you to the conclusion that it causes a coma?

Epitalon, DSIP, and Selank/Semax — each one is marketed as helping with sleep. If you combined all of them at once? You might as well say good night Gracie.

All I'm saying is that you really should be able to get some sleep.

I picked up the NA version. It knocked out my Reta insomnia on day 1 of use. My starting dose was 2mg — the plan was 200mcg, but I lowered it the following day and ended up at 500 mcg each morning right after waking, stretching one vial across roughly 25 days.

Given all the "misinterpretation talk" surrounding dosages, I'm left wondering whether there's any upside to larger doses, since I'm clearly already getting an effect at the lower amount. Depending on how my sleep goes, I fully intend to use it more than 2x per year — sleep was a problem for me long before I ever touched Reta.

After 10 days I also brought in Pinealon and DSIP, though my sleep score didn't budge at all over that stretch.

To begin with, Epitalon is very well tolerated, so there is likely no barrier to doing whatever you choose.

Next, every actual clinical trial used a 20 day course. Most were conducted annually, while a few happened 2 times per year. Those studies were aimed at longevity; improved sleep emerged only as a secondary effect.

And yes, the clinical dose truly was 10 mg per day. Please avoid repeating the false claim that synthetic Epitalon and extract Epithalimin cannot be compared. No established conversion ratio exists between them, and the later Russian studies did in fact use synthetic Epitalon.

The 10 day protocols are purely a med spa creation, since selling a 10 day package was simpler than selling a 20 day one.

That is the real clinical record, though I should note that all the Russian clinical trials fall far short of modern western research standards. That does not make them incorrect.

Without any clinical foundation, individuals have experimented extensively with dosing and schedules.

Many people do the shorter 10 day reset, with doses ranging from the full 10 mg all the way down to 300 mcg. Some repeat it many times per year. They describe numerous subjective benefits.

Many people also take Epitalon continuously, either daily, every other day, or on some weekly schedule. Doses in these cases go as low as 100 mcg or as high as 1 mg. Again, many report benefits.

However, no clinical data exists for any of this. So it largely comes down to finding your own approach.

I personally follow the 20 day Epitalon 10 mg + Thymalin 10 mg protocol 1 time per year. And for sleep, I frequently take 400 mcg daily for months at a stretch, as needed. I arrived at 400 mcg by beginning at 1 mg daily and titrating.

It works for me.

YMMV.

I may be wrong, but that male avatar makes me think you're a guy... and if so, the difficulties that come with perimenopause would be something you simply can't relate to 🙁

I take all 3 of those, along with pinealon and pe-022-28, though I don't dose them together at the same point in the day. DSIP goes before sleep, while the rest are taken in the morning, and I have no trouble remaining awake throughout the day. That coma idea you're describing isn't something I accept.

I absolutely adore this compound — it gives my body a total reset, along with a level of mental clarity and energy I haven't felt since my adult years began. My routine is 2mg daily for 25 days, repeated every 3 months (so quarterly), and I've had no problems up to this point.

Come on, no need to take it so literally. All I meant was that there are plenty of compounds out there that can help with sleep. I wasn’t actually suggesting a coma. Relax, Frances.

Jfrick's stack is something I've come across previously, and a few individuals include Pinealon in it too.

YMMV.

Epitalon was developed by Dr Khavison, a scientist who carried out studies involving both humans and animals. The telomere is directly affected by Epitalon.

Dr. Vladimir Khavisson's advice to run 2 cycles each year is largely about copying the way the body handles aging and repair on its own, instead of keeping it stimulated nonstop.

A brief breakdown:

  • Telomere support (reset effect): Epitalon is believed to turn on telomerase, which helps keep telomere length intact. Brief cycles spaced apart might give this system a "nudge" without driving it unnaturally over the long term.
  • Pineal gland regulation: It has an effect on circadian rhythm and melatonin output, aiding in the return of normal sleep and hormonal balance. Cycling helps strengthen that rhythm instead of causing desensitization.
  • Avoid diminishing returns: Using it without breaks could lower responsiveness; leaving gaps between cycles (frequently spring/fall) keeps the body responsive.
  • Seasonal biology alignment: Khavinson's method follows natural biological cycles—giving the body support during periods of stress or transition.
