My lab rat is currently getting 7.5 tirz and 4 reta pinned. (NAD+, Mots-c or KLOW80 cycles are also in the mix). The first TESA pin for my rat happened last night.

Over the past week my weight loss has stalled and the scale crept up a bit. On its own that isn't definitive, but before this I had been dropping roughly 1-2 pounds weekly for several months straight.

What worries me most is a clear increase in hunger — way hungrier than before — and my heart rate isn't elevated anymore.

I've only used reta and Tirz for around 5 months total.

It feels like I'm already at a high dose, so I'm trying to figure out what could cause sudden result changes from the same vial. My cycle is still 2 weeks away, so that's not it.

Every few weeks, out of nowhere, I get intense cravings for foods I usually steer clear of during weight loss. Potstickers, enchiladas, steamed buns, cheese, pie — all that stuff I normally treat as a "only when I'm out and it's a special occasion" kind of food suddenly becomes irresistible.

I put on 3-4 pounds, my stomach visibly looks fatter, and I start grinding my teeth and tearing my clothes because clearly the meds quit working, this is the end, everything is awful.

Then my period shows up and everything snaps right back to how it was. The 3-4 pounds drops off within a day or two, I stop wanting to eat everything, and I go "Oh. hurr."

I know you said it's not time for your cycle yet, but bodies are strange, and lady bodies even more so. One week just isn't long enough to start worrying.

Fascinating!

For the last 4 months I've stayed at 12.5 tirz. When I attempted to move up to 15, the side effects left me wiped out and not myself, so I stayed put at 12.5. At that dose the food noise stays muted and managing hunger and fullness is simple. The problem is the plateau — I still want to shed another 10# before mid-March, ahead of a trip I've booked. That pushed me to introduce reta this weekend.

Friday I pinned 1mg. Other than mild queasiness shortly after eating, I noticed nothing else — which makes sense given I only just began. Today I pinned another 1mg to gauge the response. Having spent over a year on tirz and over a year on sema before that, I'm not worried that experimenting with reta doses will land me on the toilet (or in the ER!).

Still, strangely, I've felt somewhat hungry this weekend, which normally doesn't happen on tirz alone. I'm past menopause and using HRT, so there's no monthly cycle muddying the picture.

Now I'm considering whether to grab some survo and stack it with tirz instead. What I'm really after is the glucagon/fat-burning kick more than anything else. My hope is that if I can stoke that for 6-8 weeks, then once the trip is over I can simply return to tirz, since I genuinely like it as a steady baseline — zero side effects for me, and it does exactly what it promises.

At higher doses, Tesa along with other ghrelin/gh secretagogues could very well block GLP1 signaling. That means your Tirz likely isn't a fan of them. On top of that, these hormones are already recognized for adding water weight, so getting appetite suppression and body re-comp at the same time may not be possible.

Wow, the similarities are wild! My own start date was also 5 months and 1 week back. I'm on 7mg tirz plus 4mg reta, and KLOW is on its way after I placed an order. Sorry you're dealing with this—my hunger is basically nonexistent, though eating is always possible. My schedule is tirz on Friday mornings and reta on Monday mornings. Every week I do a fast lasting 24 to 50+ hours, and the weight has kept coming off steadily.
