Perhaps what you're taking isn't the right fit. Or maybe there's just no helping you. Still, I lean toward doubting that. From dose number 1, Reta overhauled how I relate to food entirely. Sema, tirz, cagri, and the rest of the options commonly discussed in this space — I haven't given any of them a shot. What would actually do the trick for you is beyond me, but my sense is that tirz on its own has hit a ceiling in your case. Adding or switching to another option could be worth looking into. My guess is that the combined experience of this community could offer something to sharpen your thinking.
Gave stacking reta a shot, though I likely didn't raise the dose enough. Considering Tesamorlin. 😊 Thanks

I did some reading on Tesa. From what I gathered, it likely works better once you're nearer to your goal. I'm not sure whether you've hit goal yet. That said, I also came across info saying it may ramp up appetite, and that its main purpose is body fat redistribution rather than dropping pounds. So the moment I saw the appetite increase part, my reaction was, yeah, not happening right now....🤣

Given that tirzepatide worked well for you in terms of appetite suppression, bumping past 15mg is an option. Personally, I'm on roughly 17 or 18mg week to week and haven't had issues. Plenty of anecdotal reports exist of folks at 20mg doing well. Since early December I've been stacking tirzepatide alongside a low dose of semaglutide, and that combo has completely erased the mental food chatter. Honestly, I enjoy how sema feels on injection day and for a few days afterward. It's clearly not the same as tirz.
Cagri crossed my mind as well. Sema too, since the price is low. Still, there's a case to be made for keeping things simple. That being said, it's quite plausible Reta ends up taking Tirz's place, after it earns its credentials from that big-name doctor whats-his-nutz. The pace of "grandpa's medicine" is absurdly sluggish. By the time reta finally comes out, the early adopters will already have moved on. Suppose that's nothing new.

Which doctor are we talking about??? You mean that guy who does cocaine off toilet seats? 😂

People jumping on reta early are going to get swapped out by the folks sitting on the fence right now, waiting around for the FDA to give the green light. I'm not on reta yet myself, though that has less to do with holding out for FDA approval and more to do with squeezing everything I can out of tirz/sema first.

In my view, none of these glp-1s are getting "replaced". They're just extra tools you can pull out of the toolbox in the fight against obesity. Liraglutide is still being handed out as a prescription….. and Rybelsus as well, despite neither one being held in particularly high regard.

When it comes to weight loss, Tesamorelin—or really any GH secretagogue—probably won't do much for you. Before even thinking about starting a GH secretagogue, do yourself a favor: read up on and really grasp the IGF-1/GH axis, and at minimum get your IGF-1 checked. I skipped all of that and just went full send on it, and looking back, I wish I hadn't.

What's your time on it, and how many suppliers have you gone through? A few times each year there's garbage product.... give reta a shot, titrate up, and add 1mg of sema. Reta gets your metabolism going. I'm behind the wheel 10 or 12 hours daily, zero cardio, and I do weight training for 30 minutes or less a handful of times per week.... on tirz I dropped 6lbs and that was the end of it. Reta gave me another 15, spread across more than a year... If you aren't in a calorie deficit and aren't burning calories, it moves very very slowly. People who were putting away 4000 calories and tipping the scale at 360 are going to shed 80lbs. If you're 250 and barely eating as it is, not so much.....if nothing else works, check your bp, als and alt, triglcyerides, hdl, ldl, glucose and a1c.... if those numbers got better after 6 months, it's still worth sticking with.
That's a curious situation. I stay under 2000 calories without much trouble. Weight is coming off, yet wow, it's wild. Feeling hungry, but not risking eating (a lot). My daily grind takes a lot out of me. During winter, though, it drops to 4 or 5 hours rather than the entire day. This isn't about pumping iron. It's baling hay, operating chainsaws, tending animals.

Oh yeah, labs are good. I'm due in March. Thanks AD!

Might it be water?

I don't know whether this is true for you, but I found that while I was taking smaller doses and drinking a lot of water—roughly ten gulps—I got a full feeling almost right away. That sensation stuck around for a good while; I wasn't thirsty at all, and drinking didn't seem like a chore.

Still, even at a high dose and without much hunger, sometimes I catch myself (my brain) wanting sugar out of nowhere, for no clear reason.

Most of the time I just go along with it, since it doesn't happen often, and I attempt to keep what I take in as low as possible.
Nice work dropping 36-37lbs. Just brushing up on my kilogram conversions. 2.2lbs per kilogram, assuming I have that correct—or is it 2.2kg per pound???It always trips me up...
