Air isn’t the issue — I’ve been injecting long enough to avoid that mistake.

My setup is 4mm, 32g micro fine needles, straight in at 90 degrees.

Before injecting, I let it come up to room temp.

Really hoping endotoxins aren’t the cause, since I just picked up 10 kits 😖. I had looked into the endotoxin talk before purchasing and assumed it was tied to a single seller — one I’m not buying from.

For GLPs I’ve only ever injected into the leg, and the pharma materials list that as a usable site?
When I checked that link I gave you, there were quite a few sellers.

Also...

Which BAC are you using?

Might the carts you got for the pen be the issue? Have you given a syringe a try?
Living in the UK makes sourcing BAC water a hassle, so my go-to is Amazon listings with plenty of 5 star reviews—though those listings tend to get removed quickly.

The carts I use also come from Amazon and are advertised as sterilised; with this same seller, I've never had an issue before.

After going through the link, my seller didn't appear in any of the posts. I'll email them and attempt to track down the batch number, but the janoshnik report lists 2026031030 as the batch
A lot of the BAC water sold on Amazon has had problems with pH.

You can look up a thread about UK BAC on here; searching it will turn up plenty of responses.

From what I can tell, a number of people are checking out Genetek, along with other options.

Given the rest of the brand-name products you have, I doubt your alcohol wipes are from a faulty lot. Have you considered that possibility?
I have used various brands, but the ones I have right now are 70%, and in my view that is on the low side next to the previous ones I had

Alcohol at 70% beats 91%

Splitting up your dose is generally a good tactic for reducing problems tied to endos.

KPV is something people sometimes add when dealing with spicy peptides, for instance by putting it into the same syringe. Whatever is behind the welts, it might still provide relief, though endos would remain a worry. For extra help with spicy peps such as NAD+, I reconstitute KPV using saline BAC, but I take it that Hospira saline BAC cannot be sourced in the UK.

When sterility is the concern, filtering ought to help. What I do instead, as a form of damage control to some extent, is let it sit for 24 hours in Hospira BAC. As I understand it, bacterial reactions develop more slowly than histamine and endo reactions, on the order of 24-72 hours for a bacterial reaction or infection. That said, filtering may also address other triggers of a reaction, such as aggregates or similar things.

Exactly? 90-99% evaporates quicker than 70%, so the 70% remains on the area you want to disinfect for a longer time... 👍

Right now I'm in the US and it seems like this could be the same batch I'm using, and I haven't had any problems. That said, I'm aware the vendor I bought from runs an EU warehouse too.

Yeah, I had to wait until I got home to verify, but my batch carries this exact label.

Honestly, I'm not convinced coas are all that meaningful.

For me, the 4mm needles tend to cause more ISR, so I'm not a fan.

When there's some extra padding, 4-5mm is quite short for adults. Unless you insert perfectly straight, the injection can end up intradermal.

One more detail I left out: the injection burns quite a bit as it enters, so I end up pushing the plunger much more gradually than usual. Based on what I've come across, could that point to a problem with the bac?

If it were up to me, Eli Lilly GLP$ would be my pick over BAC lacking testing for endos, sterility, pH, benzyl alcohol content, heavy metals, and an LCMS analysis. Even with all that, Hospira would still be my preference.

That said, Hospira BAC itself is known to sting quite a bit sometimes. So relying on how it feels may not tell you much.

As for Genetek, the India brand @Skidude brought up, I've heard it continues to test well. Their newer 30 mL vials, though, are a unknown to me — I only know about the plastic ampules.
