Tesamorelin First Dose Advice?

Has anyone here gone with a weekly injection schedule? From what I see on Egrifta WR, the recommended weekly amount comes to 11mg.

So my start was 2 weeks back, and I chose 1mg in the AM. Fortunately, nothing bad happened. That said, I'm beginning to believe the half life really is a week: I mixed up a 10mg vial, and by the time I injected during week 2, the " burn/sting" had weakened.. which leads me to suspect the strength dropped off across that second week.

When you say 11mg weekly, what does that mean? A single injection of 11mg??

That would be crazy, especially since Egrifta's half life is roughly half an hour. Even newer versions such as Egrifta SV or WR only last about 10 minutes. So it wouldn't be effective.

Right now I'm on 2mg following a 5/2 schedule, and it burns due to Tesa's acid component. The injection site hurts for around 20 Minutes. And that's only 2mg or 0,4ml. I can't picture what 11mg would feel like, even mixed with 2ml Water.

For Tesa, the upper glutes are the ideal injection site when dealing with ISR. Anything that stings needs to go into the ass cheeks, particularly when it's pool season. The fewer noticeable lumps, the better—and I'm aware some of you are dealing with golf ball-sized welts.

53 year old guy here. I'm on SS31 right now, and after reaching my goal weight I've stayed on a maintenance amount of Reta. I'm planning to begin tesa in hopes of adding some lean muscle back. Would 2mg per night be a sensible way to begin, or is it better to begin at a lower amount?

Any input would be appreciated.

Based on what I've come across, beginning with .5mg seems like the better route. Would you mind sharing what your reta maintenance dose is? I dropped 30 pounds using reta not long ago, went 5 pounds under my target, and right now I'm tapering down from a peak of 4mg every 6 days. I had intended to stop entirely, but I'm beginning to believe there's something to staying on a maintenance dose. Thanks

No problem. I take 1mg per week, split into 2 shots.

Monday gets .5 and Friday gets .5.

Yeah, that’s something I’m seeing too! Reta and ss31 shots into the belly or thighs never really bothered me. But with Tesa (heading into week 3, 1 mg per day) my midsection has turned into a mine field!

Honestly, jumping straight into the full Tesa dose doesn't sit right with me. The shot hurts, it makes your body retain water, and an allergic reaction is possible too. Titrating upward is the way to go, no question. Take 500mcg for the initial pin, then move to 750, 1mg, 1.5mg, and 2mg at the end.

From what I've looked into, daily pinning isn't wise either, since the receptors need time to bounce back. My schedule is Mon-Fri, with Sat & Sun off.
