Survo is strange.

My food preferences shifted all at once, and in a big way. Girl scout cookies and creme brulee still appeal to me, and when I'm out, pizza with feta, katamala olives and roasted tomatoes is definitely still something I want. At home, though, in my everyday routine, all I crave is salted cucumbers on bread or a tortilla (low carb or regular), with thin avocado slices, rice and cabbage, possibly baba ghanouj. No meat, no cheese, though tofu is fine.

This isn't me saying [[Q1]] I'm not even worried about the last 9; it'll come off whenever it does. I'm not really concerned either; if this keeps up much longer, I'll simply have to increase my tofu and remember my vitamins. For me, "not getting enough calories" was never a danger. Still, it's been 2 weeks, it appeared seemingly out of nowhere, and it's such a strange sensation to think "oh, it's dinnertime" and reach for cucumbers as a "comfort meal." Last week at an Asian smokehouse I ordered a tofu rice bowl and LOVED it.

My tirz dose is unchanged. I'm not depressed. Nothing much in my life is different apart from being happy about having a Brand New Body. The sole difference between "I'm losing weight but I still want high calorie food, just not uncontrollably" and "I want crunchy, salted water and a little bit of simple carbs and nothing else" is that I raised my survo just a little. Not even by much; I went from 1mg once a week to 1.6 mg split to 2x per week. The only conclusion I can draw is that survo is weird.

My situation mirrors yours completely. Down to the tiny dose, even. I've been coasting along at GW on T & S since October without much thought. The shift happened once I 1) kept my T at 7.5 instead of increasing it and 2) raised my Survo from 1.2 to 1.8. Suddenly, regarding food, it felt like breaking through clouds into open blue sky. That's how it's stayed. Truly a wild ride.

Nice work!!

Interesting. I'll be watching for those kinds of cravings. My current stack is 2mg Survo plus 15 Tirz, and only on my 2nd 2mg dose did the feels finally show up. Some nausea, plus a fair bit of food noise suppression that plain Tirz had stopped providing. Still, I blamed the Survo and its glucagon component for my holiday sweets binge. Candy was all I wanted, all day long, and it slipped somewhat out of hand before I used will-power to hit the brakes.

Let me make this clear: the survo has never given me any feels at all, not even once. The only feels I ever got came from the T, and that was just during the first 2 weeks in June.

What I do notice is that food doesn't have much of a hold on me. I could eat it or skip it. I'm aware I need it - particularly because I'm strength training to keep my lean muscle, so I aim for as much protein as I can manage, which isn't easy - but the days of eating whole pizzas at night and too many breakfast burritos in the morning are over. I can eat 1 or 2 pieces of really good chocolate, and if I don't make my super healthy lunch for work, I can get an italian sub from the local deli - and that's more than fine, since I already know that - right now - I won't instantly tumble off that bingeing cliff again, because the cliff is basically gone and I'm standing in the middle of Kansas. lol

Also, I definitely wouldn't say my dosage schedule would suit anyone else. It works for me, but we're all different yet similar at the metabolic level.

Anyone here spent a few weeks on nothing but survo?

For me, reta, survo/tirz (which I call ghetto reta), and tirz by itself have all produced pretty much no notable changes. Every GLP gives me roughly the same effect.

What an intriguing discussion!! My circumstances are quite close to that. For some time, my weight has been sitting at target. Tirz at 10 mg plus Maz at 2.5 mg is what I take. That's the other "ghetto Reta". Recently, I've been packing on additional muscle through weightlifting that borders on obsessive. Trouble is, during the past week, that old familiar pre-sleep binge has come back. These days the food is largely protein and healthy, yet the off switch isn't working right. My plan is to raise Maz to 5 mg. With luck, I'll also begin wanting salted cucumber slices instead of whatever's in the fridge!!

For me, the things I reach for before sleep when I feel like I need something are Orgaine 30mg — the 30, not the 20 — protein shakes at 160 cal (got them at Costco, by the way) plus non-fat cottage cheese, since it has more protein. lol........... ymmv

In what ways does it stack up against reta? Has either you or somebody else given both a go?

I still haven't given reta a try. If I'm going to keep building up a stash of it bit by bit, I genuinely SHOULD, otherwise I could end up with years' worth and then discover I respond badly or something—but I just haven't gotten around to doing it yet.

Pretty much the same for me, except I never went past 3 mg of reta. Honestly, all the GLPs come across as more alike than different. Maz is the only one I still haven't given a try.

What's pushing me to start reta again is the hope of even cleaner bloodwork, specifically bringing LDL down further.

I genuinely believe there's a strong possibility that it becomes my maintenance peptide at some point. That said, if tirz by itself was sufficient to lower it (the previous time it spiked, roughly 5 years back, dropping weight WAS sufficient to bring everything back down to normal. Naturally, I then put the weight back on and now I'm old), I'd be thrilled.
