Hey everyone,

Mounjaro has been my medication for roughly 3 months at this point, but recently I started looking more closely into reta, and this forum showed up again and again while I was searching.

To be honest, my reason for being here is to find out what Reta has been like for all of you and how it stacks up against Tirzepatide. For anyone who switched over not long ago, I'd really like to know what your experience has been like.

I switched over not long ago. Last week was my first shot…2mg. For this week I bumped it up to 2.5 since the previous dose didn’t seem to do anything for me. So far no pounds have come off. My hunger hasn’t changed either. I injected on Sunday evening…then on Monday I got home from work and passed out at 5 PM, staying asleep until 6:30 AM the following day. I was completely wiped out! Usually I need sleeping pills to drift off at night, yet I knocked out without taking any of my meds. As of today, though, I’m feeling like myself again.

Hi! Right now I'm on compounded tirz, though I'm exploring whether to move over to reta as well. Once I figure out how the ordering process works, my intention is to buy both. I've noticed some folks discussing tirz+reta or sema+reta combinations, which seems interesting as a possibility down the road. Here you'll come across plenty of useful info and supportive people!

Used Mounjaro before, now on 2.5ml of Reta, and it works better since it hits the 3 GLPS rather than only the 1.

The food noise disappears, which lets you focus on picking the right foods

I think you probably meant 2.5mg rather than 2.5ml — after all, 2.5ml might well work out to 5mg of Reta. Before you switched over, what dose of Mounjaro were you on?

I'm in a similar situation. After using tirz for a long time, my progress has stalled, and I'm hoping that adding or changing to reta might help push past this point. We'll all figure it out as we go.

I still get mixed up with the ML versus MG side of things lol, but yeah, you're correct: 2.5 MG each week,.

On mounjaro I had worked my way up to 10, yet the cost kept climbing, and once I looked into Reta I was convinced it would become the standard choice

Once I had dropped roughly 100 pounds, I intended to move off tirz and onto reta. What actually happened is that I kept using both. Every 5 days I take 5mg of tirz, and every 5 days I take 3mg of reta. The reason I never stopped the tirz is that reta did nothing to quiet the food noise, and its ramp up takes a long time.

Are you dosing them together, or spacing them out—tirz on one day, then Reta 2-3 days later? On mounjaro, 3.34 mg was the most I ever took. Switching to Reta is what I want to do now, since it costs less and I'm hoping it works better. My plan was 1mg per week to begin, but if Reta by itself gave you no results, then I'll kick off at 2mg each week.

Will 2.5 mg do the job of silencing food noise? And is your injection schedule once a week, or spaced out every few days?

For me, absolutely — all food noise disappeared, and I do my injection once weekly 🙂

I had planned to increase to 5mg, but since weight keeps dropping and the food noise stays under control, there's no reason to switch things up when it's already working.

It's really straightforward, and you'll notice the positive effects of Reta before long, no doubt @exxn66

What's your take on the 2.5 dose so far? Once I come off MJ, my plan is to begin Reta at 1mg, though I've read that when it comes to curbing appetite, Reta may not hit as hard as MJ does — so I'm already figuring I'll need to bump it up once week 1 is done...

Hey, the appetite suppression kicks in straight away mate.

I'd been on mounjaro before this and it does much the same job, only it's an improvement overall since it covers all 3 receptors.

Over 4 weeks on 2.5 now and the food noise is still silenced, which lets me make the right call and keep my eating clean and my cals at the right level.

Stick with it champ, rome wasnt built in a day !

Hey, the appetite suppression hits you right away, mate.

I'd been using mounjaro before this and honestly they're pretty alike, except this one's better overall since it covers all 3 receptors.

I'm over 4 weeks in on 2.5 now, the food noise is still silenced, which lets me stick to clean eating and the proper amount of cals.

I'm another one who's fairly new to reta, having come over from tirz. So far things are going well, except my stomach has been more unsettled than it ever was on tirz or sema. I figured the appetite suppression and food noise would be about the same as tirz, but in my case it's turned out a bit stronger, so that's a plus! The heavy tiredness still hits me for a few days after each injection. I'm still at the lowest dose and due for my 3rd pin in a few days. Fingers crossed the GI issues settle down on their own.

What was your tirz dosage prior to switching, and what's your current Reta dose?

I haven't used tirz, but r3ta was part of my routine for 2 months and I dropped 25lbs! At this point I'm looking into additional peps available on the market. It's absolutely something to consider.
