So I've been using Reta for roughly 2 months. During the first few weeks my weight actually went up, and then it stayed flat for months. Part of the problem was that I kept raising my dose every week, and I didn't catch on to what I was doing until about a month had passed...

Once I finally figured out that I was ramping up too fast, I held at 3mg for a month, then moved to 4mg. I'd begun to suspect either a bad batch or that I'd botched the start, but for the past 3 weeks the weight has been coming off steadily.

My plan is to stay at 4mg for the time being and find out whether that might be the sweet spot for me.

Previously I was on Mounjaro, which kicked in quite quickly, but with my Reta journey patience was obviously what mattered most!

Since June 16th I've lost 34.8lbs and I'm becoming shredded. Once I drop the next 10lbs, I figure my dose should come down, since I don't want to end up too light.

Once that first drop in weight happens, waiting is usually part of the process no matter which GLP you're on — particularly when someone has paused increasing their dose because of side effects (or simply because they're worried about them, haha).

From what the studies show, Gemini reports that tirz produced roughly 5% to 8% weight loss on average across the first 12 weeks, while reta came in at about 6% to 9%+ over the same initial 12 weeks.

That's quite a bit! What's your current dosage?

Great!....do you monitor the calories you consume?
I don't really keep track of calories since I eat fairly little, do combat sports, and have a job that keeps me moving. Counting them wouldn't be a bad idea, but right now the weight is coming off consistently—if that changes, I'll probably try it next.

Losing 3lbs weekly is too rapid.

Don't let yourself go hungry — 25% of that loss is muscle disappearing.

Back when I was obese, I tracked percentage instead of pounds. This place has every kind of reta bro, so it's tough to make blanket statements. You've got people who used to be obese and barely do any resistance training, and then you've got amateur bodybuilders stacking multiple steroids.

Interesting. My first couple of weeks on reta came with weight gain as well, and the loss only began after that. I figured the extra pounds were inflammation-related water retention as my body adjusted to the medication.
