Reta Turns Cloudy: Bad Batch or Wrong BAC Water?

After adding 1 unit of sodium bicarbonate, everything went clear immediately. That said, I’m not putting it into my body. So what I’d suggest is switching to regular bac and checking whether that changes anything.

Would this BAC work with Reta?

I've used it myself, and I still have 2 bottles left over from a 4-pack I bought on Amazon. Out of the 2-3 Amazon BAC waters that got tested (for pH and Benzyl %), this one made the cut.

It never let me down, and each 31ml bottle came in at under $5.

Pictured below is a vial of R30 that I reconstituted using 1.5ml of Lab 1 Research H2O.

Amazon no longer carries it. I ended up ordering straight from the source, and it ran me 2x your price. Ugh.

Yep, I'm aware — I even kicked off a thread about this a few weeks back. I contacted the manufacturer too, and they gave the impression they'd return to Amazon, though so far that hasn't happened.

Sorry to bombard you with so many questions—I really do value the experience you bring. Is BAC water better kept in the fridge? Does BAC water break down in light, and after you begin drawing from it, how long does it stay good?

No problem at all. The reason people push for Hospira exclusively is that about a year ago, several brands—including some from the US—didn't pass testing; I believe it was roughly 7 out of 10. After all the attention that followed, you can be sure they cleaned up their act. Besides, your picture wasn't among those flagged. BAC is pretty tough to get wrong... in 9 years I've only run into 1 problem, and everything else has been fine.

Lab1/Research H2O passed the test here

Store it in a dark spot at room temp and it ought to hold up. As long as you follow good technique — wipe with 70% isopropyl alcohol both before and after pulling from the vial, and never reuse a needle for more than 1 poke — you can expect roughly a couple months of use starting from the first draw.

I've tried BAC water from several peptide vendors. The pH values I'm seeing vary widely.
