I can't get my head around what the half-life of Rena actually is. Has anyone got experience to share here on relative to pinning twice a week also. That would be much appreciated. What I'm running is 15 mg tirz weekly plus 2 mg reta twice a week. Wow this sounds incredibly ignorant, because it is, what I'm confused about is its half-life. Thanks in advance.

6 days or so

Splitting it 2x… does it work?

Reta's half life comes out at 6 days (roughly 144 hours).

One weekly dose is what I'd stick with rather than splitting it into a 2x schedule, since it accumulates in your system over time until steady state concentrations are reached.

Build-up still occurs, and the average exposure ends up the same.

I pin reta on a 6 day cycle. If I were stacking it alongside tirz, that would probably confuse me. So twice a week is what I'd go with.

Fair enough — I stack GLPs as well, M/F for one of them and W/S for the other.

If 4mg per injection causes you no side effects then there's no real point in splitting. Splitting doses exists mainly to take the edge off side effects. Have you ever pinned a single 4mg dose?

Twice weekly pinning is what I've been doing since the beginning and it's worked fine for me. With that schedule the highs come lower and the lows come higher, and the appetite suppression feels more consistent to me this way. Also I am only N=1 though so YMMV

Levels that stay more consistent make appetite far more predictable compared with the usual day 5-7 slide.

That isn't the case. Going once per week means you keep getting a big peak followed by a drop. Side effects are also fewer when it's split across twice per week.

For the first 5 months my pins were on a 6 day schedule. Side effects pushed me to splitting it every 3.5 days. In my experience, switching to 2x a week never cost me any effectiveness.

The point of splitting doses is to reduce side effects, or less often so doses can be adjusted a bit more quickly. Reta's half life sits around 6 days. If the plan is to increase the reta dose further, then staying on twice weekly is a good idea even without side effects. Doses climbing above tirz15 with reta 4mg on top and no side effects at all seems unlikely, and side effects that hit less hard and fade sooner usually come from smaller, more frequent dosing.

Roughly the same as what I'm on tirz15mg/reta6mg/cagri0.5mg/ week, except that mine gets split into every second day doses.

I'm about to start splitting my Reta dose. Going to 4mg twice is something I've already tried and the sides kick my @ss (bloating, sulfur burps and a generally unhappy tummy). The plan is 2mg on F and Tuesday for a few weeks. 3mg goes down fine, but my body says "nope" the moment it's 4mg in one shot.

That's exactly the right way to handle those side effects, and even more so when the ones 4mg gives you only last 2 or 3 days. If they fade that early, it's very good evidence that splitting will work. Simply waiting is the other answer here. GI side effects behave differently to the weight loss effects — evidence of tolerance shows up in most people — so coming back to a higher dose after a month or 2 away can be worth doing.

Back when I was on ozempic, increasing past 0.5mg never worked for me, so I ended up on 0.22mg doses every second day ( =0.8mg/w), which kept the nausea and malaise down while still nudging the dose up a bit to help control hunger.

Pinning on a 5 day cycle has suited me for the last couple of months. Day 5 used to leave me seriously hungry, but the Reta now holds steadier.

Yep, on 4mg the sides fade after roughly 3 days. I've just ordered pens, which should make that extra poke far easier.
