Reta Ed: Where did all my reta go?

I've been dosing reta for roughly a month. Per the studies, the standard starting amount is 2g.

I mixed a 10mg vial using 1ml of bacteriostatic water. Each time I dose, I stick to the usual routine: wash hands, use swabs, put the needle into the vial and draw back to the 21-22 mark, tap, then push the plunger back up to the 20 mark, which expels air bubbles and a bit of liquid.

Today, after my 4th dosage, I checked the vial and there's maybe 10 units...1mg of liquid remaining. Based on my math, I should have about 5 full doses left. Where did that other milligram go?
 
A tiny bit remains in the needle, but that wouldn't account for this. Needle markings aren't exact, and neither is your vision. I've come across reports that Amazon syringes can have markings that are pretty far off. What you're describing sounds normal to me. If you'd like, next time use 1.1ml of bac when reconstituting to offset this. Most of my peps are overfilled by 15-20% anyway.

According to the test sheet that came with mine, it was 11.3mg, so yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if it's overfilled as well.

Likely also pulling past the unit markings more than needed.

Each of these might play a part.

And truthfully, there are times you believe it's running low until you really draw. Several times I figured it would come up short, then I pull and it turns out to be precisely the amount I required.
 
That same thing happened with the first vial I used. By my count, 2 doses ought to have remained, meaning roughly 0,3ml should have been sitting in the vial, and on the dose before that there was still some liquid visible. Then, after about half a week, there was no liquid left at all. My guess is that I kept the vial lying down instead of standing it upright, and perhaps the liquid got out past the rubber cap.

Exactly. For my last 2 R60 vials, I used 3ml and expected 6-7 doses at 45 units/.45ml. After the 4th dose, I checked the vial and thought I’d have to reconstitute a couple more. I did, and we still got 6 injections from the first ones. My wife and I are both at 9mg.
 
Every reply in here is far too sensible. Where is the theory that tiny peptide elves raid your micrograms overnight while you are asleep?

Even though a lot of the answers people gave could be what happened, maybe try putting in more BAC when you reconstitute next time.

That way the dose is less concentrated, so there's a bigger margin for mistakes.

Drawing .20 could be contributing to the problem.

Still.. if you only lost .10 ml across 5 doses, that might just come from small slip-ups during recon and injection.

Give 2ml BAC and a .40 dose a shot

I saw the same thing as I was wrapping up my final vial, and then it hit me — I had blasted myself in the face from injecting too much air into the container😅
