Yeah, it does sound nuts. But if you keep pinning the same place over and over, the tissue can get irritated, and that leads to scar tissue, small lumps or nodules, localized inflammation, changes to fat pads or lipohypertrophy, and so on. That means the injection might end up in tissue that's irritated or thickened, so absorption becomes less predictable. The better approach is to rotate between stomach and thigh spots, staying more than 1 inch away from where you last injected, and steer clear of any lumps, bruises, or red areas.
