Peptide dilemma

Two peptide vendors share an identical name. One operates by invitation only and keeps a fairly tight, smaller membership. In my rush to join a group buy for a specific batch, I landed on a site I believed belonged to that vendor. I paid in BTC for 2 kits. When I showed my purchase proof in the group buy, the response was unanimous: THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT BATCH NUMBER.

At that moment, I figured my money was gone and the BTC was stolen with no chance of recovery. Then, 10 days afterward, the kits arrived. (Roughly 250$ worh.)

I had assumed I was fully scammed, yet the peps showed up.

THE DILEMMA:

Do I shell out for testing, or simply discard them? If they turn out fake, I'll be down 500 or so dollars +

Honestly, I have no idea what to do.

I am NOT naming the company because I have no proof that the product is fake or not good. UGH

Should you decide to get it tested, then go ahead and test it.

Throwing it away doesn't make sense to me 🤷

I'd start by looking into whichever company actually sold you the product.

Look for test results here, on STG, or wherever you're active.

That could turn up useful details about them.

Maybe the group's name is connected, or it's possible the real seller is legitimate

Check the TG/Discord suppliers, maybe there are testing groups for your batch!

Which peptide are we talking about? If it's a compound where results would be obvious, versus one I'd have no way to judge in the short or medium term (and occasionally long term), my take might shift. For a GLP-type, I'd definitely pin it and observe. For anything else, I'd probably still go ahead, honestly. I'm saying that from experience — it's what I've already done, and I'd guess plenty of people here have done the same at least once. I'm sitting on a multi-year stash of assorted things. Out of a hundred vials of any kind, I've only ever sent 2 off for testing. Unless something much more compelling comes up than what I've got now, I won't be repeating that.

I believe sharing a picture of your kit is permitted on this platform. If that's not the case, please let me know.

Odds are decent that another member will identify where it came from and tell you whether that batch is any good.

The fact that product arrived means you weren't necessarily scammed. As others have pointed out, dig deeply into the vendor you used. If doubt lingers, get it tested. And if losing $250 doesn't bother you when it buys peace of mind, then you already know what to do.

That "scientific use only" disclaimer really cracked me up lol
Since Jeep in April, T30 orange caps have been dealing with a continuing endotoxin problem. Searching this forum will turn up several threads and posts on the subject. Now, I think that the raised ridge on the cap might set them apart and that they could be free of that problem, but unless you test, I would look into that both here and on other platforms to verify it. NAD has likewise been facing a persistent endo issue stemming from how it is synthesized, and I would look into that one too. There is no way for you to know where this vendor obtained their source.

both kits are headed for the trash, in my view. my guess is that the vendor i used is a copycat of the guy who keeps his site private and screens buyers. because i rushed and feared missing the GB, i probably bought junk, and i did this to myself. dropping $750 on an endo test for $200 worth of product that will likely fail is not happening. this is 100% me getting caught up in scarcity and then moving too fast without checking anything. i accept that, and now the garbage will take this trash.

Have you tried reaching out to the site you purchased from? You could check whether they run a TG/Discord group, or request COA's. That's what I would have done 1st.

Start with that 👆, though you should remember that a COA from them could be for anything.

On my caps, the COA doesn't line up - grrr - plus the batch number can't be found anywhere. That's what I get for skipping DD. Who knows what's actually inside this garbage.

A batch number won't be visible at any point; what you might find is a manufacturing date or an SKU at best.

https://verify.janoshik.com/tests/97353-unnamed_sample_G4LPU3VAPLFY The report is available, however the Janoshik report shows blue caps, whereas mine are clearly orange.

The COA applies to T60, yet what you've got is T30.
My advice: take a step back and look into this properly. Rushing is what got you here in the first place.

Reach out to the supplier by email, as @Mochizuki0124 recommended

Obtain the proper COA, per @eidos

One mistake doesn't have to snowball into a bunch more-

Assuming the COA you received lists that same vendor, plenty of test results can be found online

You could give 1 mg a shot; even in the unlikely event that endotoxins were present, the amount would be so small that it wouldn't have much of an impact on you (which is, at any rate, 1 upside of having extra weight.)

I did that, but I haven't gotten any response so far. My theory is this: those folks acquired the Jeep and the endo T30 vials that didn't pass, then turned around and resold them — the light orange color gives it away. Either way, the lesson has been learned. As soon as I can be completely certain that's what went down, I'll share the website in scams so no one else falls into the same trap — since plenty of people here buy from the genuine BFF guy.
