The site went offline for 7hrs, and I'm surprised that not a single person (and I could name several) posted an exclamatory thread about the outage the way they did previously 😅

Sure, I had work to keep me occupied, but without the site the day dragged far more than it normally would.

I had written out an entire account of how I came across my xiphoid process — I was in bed, half-watching dumb YouTube clips, and since I've never been at a "normal" weight until now, whenever I get sleepy my hands drift to spots on my body where I'd never noticed a bone before (ribcage, hip, wrists, shoulders, etc). Right as I was drifting off, I felt a bone sitting directly beneath the sternum, named the "xiphoid process" — an odd name for a bone — and it has the same feel as the top of a chicken leg. That snapped me wide awake and sent me straight into a massive panic, because I had no idea it was a bone; I was convinced it was a tumor and that I'd soon be dead. I was close to crying, searching my 5-year survival odds for abdominal cancer, when it hit me that I'd ALSO taken my hip bone for cancer the first time I noticed it, before learning a bone belonged there.

I had typed the whole damn thing out under "Weight loss," planning to call it "New weight loss milestone unlocked," and then the site went BACK down, so I said fuck it and drove to Walmart for another box of hair dye.

Honestly, calling a bone that has to be one of the dumbest names out there. It's just a bone. What exactly is it processing, and what makes it "xiphoid"? Back when I was young and first heard of it, I figured it had something to do with a flux capacitor.

Not a single --

"OOPS! Sorry about that kids! " notice

coming from Zippity -- he's likely worn out after spending the whole day attempting repairs!

I’m half convinced I’m seeing things. A bunch of the posts and comments I wrote and put up earlier today have vanished—or at least, I was sure I’d submitted them. Did the outage swallow them, or did I just imagine the whole thing while exhausted and starving lol?

On top of that, I’d finally moved up from recently joined to GLP-1 novice, and then the downtime knocked me right back down to noob status 🙁

Once again I got the feeling I'd put my foot in my mouth, and the mods all scrambled over each other to hand out a ban at top speed — then somehow took the whole site offline by mistake. Whoops!

I hit the sack sooner tonight, since I wasn't glued to the forum like a maniac, the way I normally am come evening 😁

LOL, that hits home. I keep catching myself brushing my fingers against my collar and hip bones without even thinking. A few days back I first noticed my hip bones, and I even had my husband feel them. The thought keeps coming back: wow, this is how thin the cushion is for normal people, and it sort of aches in a strange way?

I figured maybe the reason the site went down was that I mentioned my Penis hasn't worked this well since 1993, but then it crossed my mind that it could be Gr33dyOctopus losing his Bond and returning to Banned again. 🤣

Big Pharma's sister, Big Tech, pulled the plug on the site once she complained about us. Along with that, all the priceless details on Var, Moda, and the rest were wiped out as well.

Every now and then, this occurs for each of them. Typically it's a server problem, and occasionally a host. I was building a wooden train model that I'd received for Christmas.

haha, turns out I’ve also been finding bones I never knew about!! who would’ve thought there were that many pointy bones hiding down there.

Haha, I'm enjoying reading everyone's completely random accounts of how they fill the time when this site isn't around to soak up our attention.. a few of them sound more useful than others 😂

Usually the site host has to restore things from a backup, and from what I can tell the most recent one was taken the previous evening, which means anything posted across about a 24hr window is gone. Sorry your status got caught up in it! It should be showing again soon.

Honestly this is the kind of trivial inconvenience people in wealthy countries grumble about — I was just looking for a reason to vent 🙂
