At this point, your honest vendor review won't get anyone's attention — after all, you're still a stranger here. You've simply appeared as some guy/girl/they, and nothing has shown people yet that you're "an actual person" (in terms of joining in, not in terms of how long you've been around).

Still, if you're describing how you do something, it's fine for YOU to say where you got it. That isn't banned. Even so, you've just arrived somewhere that has a search bar and a hundred thousand conversations where people already talked about how to do a thing. Before posting "please help me do my own math," you ought to check what others might have already said — and this place only stays worthwhile rather than boring and repetitive because newcomers are expected to put in that effort first, even when their question may have appeared several hundred times before.

(And "you" here isn't aimed at "you, guster, personally")
 
Honestly, I wish there were some recognition for all the time spent lurking — that's a skill I've got down pat! The replies from the more experienced folks are appreciated; there's solid material in here, and I hadn't even picked up on the fact that DMs aren't available to us yet. Those guardrails are a good thing, since they keep clueless newbies like me from wrecking everything!

I'm open to DMs, and I signed up 11 days later than you did. Engage with the forum, take part in threads, and aim to contribute something useful through your replies — then it'll happen.
 
Great, I appreciate you getting back to me. Truthfully, after signing up I spent a few weeks just reading before I even put up an introduction. My main concern was making sure I wasn't missing something obvious.

Being limited doesn’t bother me one bit. Every other corner of the internet that covers this stuff gets flooded with identical questions on repeat. The quality of discussion in this community suits me far better.

You’re right, and sadly that pattern repeats across plenty of online spaces—the same inquiries resurface over and over. That’s part of why this community stands out to me; the conversations here are on a noticeably higher level. What worries me isn’t naive questions; it’s that I’m still limited and somewhat afraid of slipping up or losing progress, so at this point I’m mainly picking things up from all of you.

With respect, may I add my own name to this ask. Taking part in a rigorous group test, and doing it the right way, is something I would sincerely value. The messaging limits are clear to me and I accept them, yet when private contact isn’t an option, cases like this become hard to handle. Should there be any room for that to be looked at, I would be very grateful. Thanks for everything you put into moderating this community.

I’m with you — those protections are reasonable, and I get the reasoning behind the limits. It just complicates things when it comes to organizing group testing.

So the people running this place intentionally keep those details private, and there's a solid rationale behind it. Suppose you were running a scam, shilling for someone, acting as a fanboy, or filling that "social media manager" role Finricks was putting out an ad for — and suppose it were simple to figure out "Oh, alright, so it's elapsed time since signup, multiplied by post count, divided by likes received, with "wow" reactions subtracting five, plus 3 per reply-to" — then gaming the system would be trivially fast. You could pay lip service to the requirements just long enough to unlock DM-ing every person you spot leaving a foolish or naive comment, and then cash in.

If instead you simply keep posting, hand out likes when something genuinely deserves one to you, and contribute remarks interesting enough to earn the occasional like, the wait isn't that long. And chances are you're better off not purchasing peps during that stretch regardless, since you probably don't yet have a full picture of all the fuckery in this sphere — meaning you'd just end up scammed, charged way too much, or handed garbage product either way.
 
Thanks everyone for laying it out so thoroughly and clearly — for someone new like me, it really clears up how this place operates and makes me feel included.

Honestly, that reasoning lands well with me, and I agree it’s a sensible rule aimed at keeping the community safe.

Before I signed up, I’d already spent a good while reading through the forum, and over time it became something I truly valued. Truth be told, nearly everything I’ve picked up so far has come from here.

Waiting for access to open up on its own is totally fine by me. What I’d really like down the line is to join group testing too, because splitting the cost of testing is far easier to handle than going it alone with independent testing.

I’m genuinely grateful for how open everyone here is about sharing what they’ve learned and been through.
 
If you want a deeper role in this community, becoming a testing vendor could be an option worth exploring. The group testing efforts I’m involved in are usually organized by folks based in the eastern US. Plenty of peptide researchers are located in the EU. It would be straightforward for you to get test vials from fellow researchers and send them on to Janoshik labs in CZ. Jano handles group testing payments in a way that keeps the vendor out of managing the money. There’s plenty of additional work involved, but I’m confident you could pick this up without much trouble!

Just a thought to keep in mind.

Getting past the restricted label simply takes continued reading plus replying and mingling with other members, all while following what the new members instructions set out. The ban on talking about sources lifts as soon as you hit "apprentice" status. For anyone who participates regularly, that happens pretty fast.
 
Often when I'm about to answer a thread, this nagging worry kicks in that others will read it as me just posting to rack up activity…

So I back out, shut the tab, and promise myself “next time.”

And look at me now, still stuck under “no source discussion” 🤣

There's no need to hold back from contributing. Every perspective matters—that's exactly why a forum exists: so we can exchange what we know and what we've learned. Just make sure you're following the rules for new members, and before long those restrictions will be lifted.

I could see myself joining in, particularly if it’s with long‑standing forum members. That said, my experience is limited to doing this solo for my own use, so I don’t know how a group process is run and I’d want explicit instructions before I commit. To be transparent, I might also be willing to put up front money, but only when the terms are completely clear and the people involved can be trusted. Being based in Italy could make sending to Jano simpler for me (just an idea), given that customs wouldn’t come into it.

I really appreciate that! The warmth and friendliness from everyone in this space has been wonderful. My work schedule is pretty unpredictable, so I'll try my hardest to stay involved. During those crazy stretches, even squeezing in a shower can feel like winning a tiny Olympic medal, 🥇which means how often I post may go up and down. Still, any time I'm able to, I'll add something.
