My TRT plus Reta: progress and goals so far

Amazing work — all that effort shows!

Pairing TRT with a GLP changes the game when you're overweight and metabolically broken the way I was. 2 years ago I was 270 pounds at 5ft9. Busting ass in the gym, plus trt and tirz, is what dropped 70lbs off me and gave me my health back. Tirz carried me through about 8 months of that weight loss, and 200 is where I've held for 8 months or so.

reta is a recent switch for me, and 5 pounds came off over the last 2 weeks. Right now I'm sitting at 195 and 15-16% body fat. Getting down to 185 or so, in the 12% range, is the aim.

At 51, with abs and more energy than I know what to do with, life really is different!

The stack as it stands: 3mg reta, a week's worth of test at 200mg, and a protein focused nutriention plan.

I want to find out more about aas. Really glad this thread came up.
A fun fact worth sharing: over at the biggest steroid forum, "cardiologist" ranks among the most frequently searched keywords, returning 40 pages of results.

Take this as an example:

EKG’s aren’t all that informative. Just make an appt with a cardiologist for an Echo. If an EKG came back abnormal then the next step would be an Echo anyways and you will get way better info off that.

Echo will tell you if you have any enlargement and give you your ejection fraction rate which is what’s important to know.

Yeah. I'm sort of hoping a lot more people chime in with comments along the lines of yours...

What’s up, everyone. I’ve been on TRT for about 3 years, and I’m glad I made the move. I bulked up through diet and training to around 270 lbs. I’ve always trained for powerlifting and Strongman. I had a position change at work, and with that came more hours, so I couldn’t keep the same pace and switched to a powerbuilding routine. I decided to drop weight and lean out by doing a recomp, so I lowered my calories from roughly 5k to 2500 calories and added in Reta. Once it kicked in, I actually love what it’s doing for me. The talk about the food noise and loss of cravings is no lie, which makes eating and dieting in a calorie deficit easy. It also killed cravings for things like alcohol. Now that my body is becoming more sensitive to insulin, I have more energy during the day and don’t crash or feel the need for coffee or pre-workout. I’ve been on Reta for about 2 months, and I’m down to 247 lbs, working up to 5mg.

My goal is to get to 235-240 around 10-12% BF and try and maintain that while still

lean muscle and my strength. This is a great board and I'm reading a lot of threads and getting valuable inforl from all over.

Having that much muscle on hand has to make cutting a whole lot easier. One piece of advice from me: as long as the scale keeps moving down, leave your dose where it is. Hold off on increasing it until things actually plateau.

TRT has been my protocol for several years, starting at age 50. Low dose Reta maintenance is what I'm reading up on now. Your metabolism goes up on TRT and that in turn leaves you hungry. There's still work ahead for me — getting some back water and learning Crypto — and I'm hoping July is when Reta starts. One thing that nags at me is the rise in RHR from Reta, given TRT already has mine running high.
For the majority of people, the bump isn't very big. My RHR, though, got wrecked by Reta. There were entire days where I sat above 100bpm, and on the bike, what used to feel like a Zone 2 ride turned into a zone 3-4 ride. So I stopped it and moved over to Tirz. That switch happened a few months back. Only now am I beginning to feel like myself again.

I had titrated up to 7.5mg, then came off it and gave it another shot. My heart rate was still strongly affected by Reta even at 4-5mg/week. My RHR sat at 48bpm before I ever touched Reta.

Right now I'm on Test, HGH, Tirz and Primo. I've gone from 211 down to 186, and picked up a few lbs of muscle along the way.
