They exist in very small niche private groups that mostly came about after the people involved got screwed by one of the "popular" group vendors, and are generally a lot more transparent about things since trusting fellow internet strangers with thousands (or tens of thousands) of dollars of others' money is not something that should be shrouded in secrecy.
