Anyone else in the same boat? My niimbot m2 arrived just 2 days ago, and I've already burned way too much time messing around with it.

First it was my vials getting labels. After that I glanced at my fridge and thought, “Hold on… every one of these opened food containers could be labeled too.”

Next thing I knew, I was eyeing my cluttered cabinets, my bookshelf, and even where my cat's food is kept… and suddenly it felt like everything needed a label

Turns out when you finally have some free time, you can find a million random things to organize.

A few days back, a Phomeno label maker arrived at my place. I'd sworn to myself "no label makers!" since a basic Brother unit already sits here, which I use for plain text on slim label tape. LOL, seeing everyone's excitement over the Niimbot designs wore me down!

AND I'M OBSESSED! I haven't gone as wild as you have, but inserting icons, adding two or more lines of text, and using pretty colored and round labels is something I really enjoy. These days every cartridge of mine carries an instruction/info label, which is fantastic because my stack keeps growing and I can't recall all the doses.

Have you dealt with your wire/cables/cords bin yet? You know, the one everybody owns and then has to work out "What's this cord go to?" A few strays here are getting labels today!

I've labeled roughly 180 vials so far, covering both the sides and the caps. Another 120 still need to be done. For the white round cap labels, I'm using a Niimbot 110, while a Nelko P21 handles the vial labels.

Oh Flash… the autism in me sends hyperfixations into deep territory, while the ADHD keeps them feeling new and fresh! My brain certainly has an expensive way of doing things and yet, oddly, I'm frugal in a Sméagol-like way and can't let go of hobbies from the past. Take the DJ digital mixer I still have in cellophane, plus another analog mixer sitting under dust — why do I keep them?

My estate sale will be epic!

lol! When it comes to all your hobbies, what's your organizing method? Do you go alphabetical, chronological, or dollar-weighted averaging?…and I bet every last one is labeled correctly!

lol! When it comes to all your hobbies, what's your organizing method? Do you go alphabetical, chronological, or dollar-weighted averaging?…and I bet every last one is labeled correctly!

A few of my things — typically the more expensive hobby equipment or the little items — get lined up tidily, every corner squared off, kept together with similar items. Much like my books, I usually sort them by subject and then according to how often I reach for them or how pleasing the arrangement looks.

The rest end up in a chaos heap that seems to have taken on a mind of its own! (That’s a job for next week…or the one after ) As with everything in my life, it’s a mix of everything and nothing!

You’ve got plenty of hobbies as well — what’s your method for keeping them in order? A top watch keeping watch over the top machine gun?
