Based on what those articles describe, the schedule appears to be 600mg once every three weeks — not a daily dose.lessthanhalf said:
Honestly, that's kind of amusing — the studies dosed 600mg/day while each vial holds only 20mg, meaning you'd need 30 vials, likely quite pricey ones, just to cover a single day's dose.
My curiosity got piqued when I noticed SANA being sold on ebay. It works by activating futile creatine cycling to burn off energy, similar to a mitochondrial uncoupling agent such as bam15 or DNP, except through a novel and distinct mechanism. It even has phase 1 human trials, which puts it ahead of a large share of peptides. That said, the doses were 600mg/day and 5 grams runs about $100 usd ( on ebay ), so purely on cost grounds it isn't really workable ( $100 for 8 days worth ) — that is, if you're willing to take something backed only by phase 1 data. It's nearly as expensive as non grey GLP's. Even so, it's probably a safer bet than bam15 and unquestionably safer than DNP. Oddly enough, despite its track record, they are seriously working on a prodrug form of DNP that gets converted into DNP in the liver, so its effects stay more localised, the doses reaching the body overall are far lower, and presumably the odds of killing you drop as well.
Appreciate the info. I had believed the dosages came from the original rat trial, yet I'm unable to locate it now. In the phase 2 human trial, though, the amount went as high as 600mg, delivered as many small injections locally to cut fat in one spot, essentially a gentler form of liposuction. What's confusing is that they're simultaneously looking at systemic effects, and in those very patients they recorded roughly a 10% decrease in measured visceral fat. There was also a rat experiment where it was given alongside tirzepatide, and those rats shed more weight than with tirz alone while regaining less after treatment ended. It's strange to watch a drug being developed that performs 2 separate actions requiring independent study: destroying fat cells locally right where it's injected, and at the same time producing a smaller yet potentially more meaningful impact on visceral fat cells elsewhere. Since it eliminates cells by triggering death pathways that cause apoptosis, you'd want extremely strong proof that it isn't switching on those same pathways in other cell types.loppsy said:

At this point, IMO, these 2 things matter most.lessthanhalf said:

Even so, dosing every 3 weeks at $220 per 20mg (I believe that's per vial, not per 10 vials - purepeptidefactory) works out to $6600 per dose to treat a small localized patch of subcutaneous fat, with perhaps a slight visceral fat reduction on the side, which seems rather impractical.
You nailed it. +1wonttellyou said:

As for the amount, a 50 mg × 10 set seems reasonable for the initial 3 weeks. That said, getting the dosing exactly right would definitely make this an intriguing — if difficult — experiment to set up.faloppi said:
Just saw that Joyous is running a GB on this, $325 for a kit of 50mg vials, will include testing from Jano and Jano thinks they have enough info to verify. I'm personally not interested in using but pretty amazed this is being produced already (accurately remains to be seen which is most important of course), but definitely will be watching from the sidelines out of curiosity!

It's now in a group buy. It only launched yesterday.Mr. Blonde said:
Can you actually purchase CBL-514 at this point? To be clear, I'm talking about the grey market, not the big pharma version.
I noticed it as well. I wasn't sure what it was until I came across this thread.faloppi said:
