Hey everyone.

Peptides and GLP-1s? Count me in as a big fan.

GLP-1 (zepbound for 1.5 years)

Peptides (many of them) 1 year

I'm here to pick up more peptide knowledge and pass along whatever I've picked up if it's useful to anyone.

Don't hesitate to reach out (not a Dr., just someone who believes in this stuff) about what I've gone through with

Tirz, tesa, ipa, NAD+, MOTS-C, glutathione, sermax, Reta, 191AA, IGF-1LR3, KLOW

since those are the ones I've been cycling.

Appreciate the welcome.

Hey there! Nice to have you here. I'm also just starting out in this community, and peptides are something I'm really into as well! My own journey has been shorter, and I'm hoping to pick up insights from folks such as yourself who've already spent a while in the pep world. Up to now, tirz has been part of my routine for 8 months (though I paused for 2 months, so honestly it's only been 4 months without a break), and what stands out most to me is how it's affected my mind. The weight loss is great, no question (60 of the 81 pounds I've dropped came from tirz), but the bigger win is that anxiety and depression aren't weighing on me anymore. My temper has improved too, and because I'm more emotionally steady, I handle my employees and residents better. This part truly amazes me. NAD+ has been in the mix for roughly 6 months, and 5-Amino 1mq got added a month back. KLOW80 came in two weeks ago. I'm thinking about MOTS-C and Glutiathone. Would you mind telling me how those went for you?

On the subject of tesamorelin, I keep hitting a wall when I try to find a definitive answer. Right now I’m running reta, and I’ve seen several sources recommend pinning tesa right when you wake up instead of after dinner or before bed—the idea being that you need a fasted state, because reta slows stomach emptying so dramatically. Since insulin shuts down the gh pulse, and food may still be sitting in the stomach even 5-6 hours later, I’ve read that this would make the tesa essentially worthless. I’ve also heard that stomach emptying returns to normal speed once you’ve been on it for a while, but I can’t locate anything backing that up beyond “trust me bro”. Have you run both at the same time? If you have, how did you go about it?

For sure!

Our journeys have been pretty alike. Tirz was part of my life for 12 months. As a 46M standing 5’9”, I dropped from 210 pounds to 146 pounds, which turned out to be far too small. (No longer on tirz) Now I’m using Reta, plus a bunch of other peptides, a serious weightlifting routine, high protein consumption (200 mg daily), and I eat 200 to 300 cal above my maintenance level. That brought me back up to 165 pounds at 9.4% body fat.

About the mental side after tirz — I get what you mean. Whether that comes from the medication or simply from my overall perspective on life now that I’m healthier, I can’t say. But your experience makes total sense to me. Compared to where I began, I feel far more focused, driven, and content. Once more, it might be the medicine, or it might be how I feel after getting healthier.

Glutathione has worked well for me. I can’t claim I notice anything different beyond what you’d call an internal clean. On injection days, it’s almost as if you can sense it inside your system, producing what I’ve heard referred to as gluta chills. I’m not certain, but I hope the antioxidants are keeping my immune system in top shape, since I’ve used it for 6 months without getting sick. So that’s a plus.

As for MOTS-C, my energy level did change. This is only my experience, but even later in the day, I find I still have the same energy I had when the day began. It isn’t some caffeine-driven manic rush — rather, a longer stretch of willingness to take part in life and activities, work and the gym included.

Hope this helps.

Tesa works well, but the scenario you're laying out is a real constraint. Staying fully fasted is hard when you're on any GLP-1 and dosing late in the day, right before bed. That only works if dinner happens at 4pm... And with any GLP-1, depending on the individual and how fast they digest, a 5-6 hr fast delay is entirely plausible.

As for shooting both at once, yes, that's fine.

A GLP-1, though, hangs around much longer. So if you're inside that 5 to 6 day window, it makes no difference whether you pin on the same day or on separate days. If the GLP-1 were genuinely wiping out the tesa, combining them would be impossible from the start. You'd have to pick one or the other. Nobody has said that, as far as I've seen, but in my head, sure, run them together. Just don't forget about the fasting window if you go with the evening.

I moved my tesa ipa shots to the morning. On a GLP, my digestion tends to run slow anyway. When I began, though, that wasn't something I factored in. And I don't think the results looked as good. Switching to mornings seemed to bring them on quicker, I believe.

On top of that, a lot of folks talk up the sleep advantages of tesa ipa. My experience was actually the reverse. My sleep pattern got wrecked, and falling asleep became harder with so much going on for me.

Sure, a natural GH pulse occurs during overnight rest, but that doesn't mean moving to the morning wipes those pulses out entirely.

Bottom line, mornings, and that's my preference. Still, it's likely less effective than a 5 to 6 hour fasted p.m. injection. By how much, I couldn't tell you.

Hope this helps.

That's definitely the case, and it backs up my “better to be safe” approach with tesa while I'm also using reta. My routine has been to pin right when I wake up, then hold off on eating for roughly 1.5-2hrs. Lean muscle retention and the visceral advantages have been clear for me, but since everyone goes on about the sleep perks, I figured I had to ask! Thanks for the thorough answer.
