Back in 2024 I kicked off my fitness journey. Through nothing but diet and exercise, across 18 months I dropped from 275lbs down to 214. Then I stalled out and ran into knee trouble, so I quit working out. When my knees started acting up once more, my ortho gave me cortisone injections and I headed back to the gym. My doctor ran physicals and gave the green light for Wegovy, but the price tag triggered a heart attack. In October of 2025, my sibling set me up with gray market starters and resources so I could dig into things myself. Thanks to Tirz plus exercise, I've broken into the below 200 club.

My knees refuse to get on board with what I'm aiming for, and I've stalled again, so alongside Tirz I've now added the KLOW regimen.

With my sibling's assistance I've got enough Tirz frozen to cover a year. Since I'm just starting KLOW, I'm still finding my footing. My sibling is 7 hrs away, and without their "care packages" I'd never have gone down this particular road, but these days I'm doing my own digging on my own. Glad to be here and looking forward to finding out what this forum is all about

I blew out my knee about 7 years back while running competitively, and staying active since then has been a challenge. So I'd like to know which exercises you've been using. Do they involve hinging at the knees, or high impact cardio? For me, those two are where the pain hits hardest.

Fitness kickboxing is what got me moving in the first place, and I genuinely loved it — I'd still be doing it now, since once my gloves are on, everything outside disappears and I can pound out all my stress on the bag. The trouble is my knee has completely drained my motivation to return to it. That's why the new gym I joined offers HIIT classes, which so far haven't been too rough on my knees while still giving me a solid workout. For cardio we use assault bikes and assault treadmills; for strength there are TRX racks with kettle bells plus some resistance bands, and the benches hold ordinary small hand weights. Whenever an exercise is especially "hingy," the instructors typically step in to help us modify it, so we still get the same benefit without adding injury risk. As for me specifically, I'm only around a month into KLOW use, and up to now my plantar fasciitis has barely twitched here and there, plus I can bend a little without serious pain — so I've only been training once or twice a week. I've come across the idea that one risk factor for BPC is injury caused by pushing too hard, because after being in pain so long from injuries that heal slowly, you finally feel better and overdo it, or something along those lines.

There's a popliteal cyst behind my knee, and not one doctor can pin down why there's all this extra synovial fluid, other than a minor microscopic meniscus tear that won't heal and has just a 30% chance of improving from a resurfacing surgery on my knee bones. (Ummm PASS) So I'm taking it slow and playing it safe — as long as I'm not putting the bad weight back on, I'm not in a huge rush.
