I started my fitness journey back in 2024 went from 275lbs to 214 with diet and exercise alone over the course is 18months. I hit a plateau and had some knee problems and stopped working out. My knees were bothering me again so I got some cortisone injections from my ortho and started back up at the gym. My doctor gave me physical and cleared me to start Wegovy and I had a heart attack at the cost. My sibling hooked me up with some gray market starters and resources to do my own research back in October of 2025. With Tirz and exercise I’ve managed to hit the below 200 club.

My knees are not cooperating with my goals and I’ve hit another stall so I’ve jumped into the KLOW regimen along with Tirz.

With my siblings help I’ve frozen enough Tirz to last a year. But with starting KLOW I’m still getting acquainted. My sibling lives 7 hrs away and I never would have started along this specific path with out their “care packages” but I’m researching my own way around and about now. I’m happy to be here and excited to see what all this forum is about

As someone who has tried to remain active after blowing out my knee running competitively about seven years ago now, I'm curious what sort of exercises you've been doing. Are you relying on exercises that require hinging at the knees or high impact cardio? I've found those are the biggest pain spots for me

Well I was motivated to exercise by fitness kickboxing and I LOVED it I still would because when my gloves go on the outside world turns off and I can take out my stress on the bag. But my knee has been killing my drive to get back in it. So my new gym has HIIT classes that really haven’t been to hard on my knees but still give me a good workout. The cardio is done on assault bikes and assault treadmills and the strength training is on TRX racks with kettle bells and some resistance bands and then the benches just have normal little hand weights. When we have really “hingy” exercises the instructors usually help us modify the exercises so we get the same workout without risking more injury. But specifically I’m only about a month into KLOW use and so far my plantar fasciitis has barely made a few twitches here or there and I’m able to bend slightly with no serious pains so I’ve only been working out once or twice a week. I’ve heard one of the risk factors for BPC is injury from pushing too hard because of finally feeling better after being in pain for so long from hard to heal injuries or something along those lines.

I have a popliteal cyst behind my knee and no doctor can find the cause for all the excess synovial fluid aside from a minor microscopic meniscus tear that isn’t healing and has only a 30% chance of benefiting from a resurfacing surgery on my knee bones. (Ummm PASS) So I’m taking it slow and playing it safe as long as I’m not putting the bad weight back on I’m not in a huge rush.
