Hey all! After giving GLP1 a go 2 years back (semaglutide, from a regular pharmacy), I've now signed up here. While I was on it, my whole connection with eating shifted completely. I had no idea what food noise meant until it disappeared.

Cost meant I could only stay on it 6 months, but that experience really opened my eyes. Even though I tried my absolute hardest, the weight returned after roughly 2 years of working to keep it off.

There's even a pen still sealed in my fridge that's been sitting there 12 months, but fear stops me from using it since I figure it's past its date. So I've started researching other options and figuring out the best way to get rid of that relentless food noise.

Can't wait to begin this journey again!

Tirzepatide is going to become your ally. Going grey also gives you far more bang for your buck compared with UK pharmacies. Don't rush when choosing a vendor, and best of luck 🤞

I know that food noise thing all too well. 2 months in on tirzepatide for me, and honestly it's the best, so damn good. Getting used to the quiet took some time (I kept cooking way too much out of pure habit). Wishing you all the best here, fellow newbie!

Appreciate that.

Been going back and forth on whether to give semaglutide another run or switch to something different entirely.

Does tirzepatide have a reputation for handling food noise better? Sema worked so well for me that the idea of something stronger is wild!!

So what about water intake? That was the part that hit me hardest — my thirst basically vanished, and before I knew it, 2 days had gone by without me drinking anything.

Same here, honestly! Before, I’d finish a gallon (3.7L) of water every day, but after beginning tirze I’ve had to actively remind myself to sip something—because my body no longer pushes me to drink the way it used to, so I can go stretches without realizing I haven’t had any.

On tirz, my food noise has gone down a lot, though every so often it still creeps in and nags at me. When that happens, I have to talk myself through it and ask whether I'm actually hungry, or whether it's more of a treat — and if it's a treat, does it still fit inside my calorie deficit? I've also begun couch to 5k, but I leave those burned calories out of my calculations, since working that number out is notoriously unreliable.

When it comes to water, I keep a pint glass at my desk and aim for 4 pints spread across the workday — 2 before lunch and 2 afterward. Seeing the glass and keeping track of it is what reminds me to drink. If I forget and don't get enough, I end up with headaches.

Since mid October I'm down 27kg, so things are going well right now, but the losses are slowing and getting more erratic. I still have at least another 10-15kg to lose. I haven't really set a goal weight — I'm going to see how I feel.

It blows my mind that some people never deal with food noise. You forgot to eat today? How? If there are snacks in my house, they are all I can think about from morning to night. Since starting tirzepatide, I get it now — food can just be fuel and nutrients, not the center of my entire existence.

Hey, I'm 33 too. My first go with semaglutide happened when I was at my heaviest, and honestly I spent months feeling awful and completely green around the gills. The weight barely budged, and for me it did nothing for inflammation or food noise — I was simply nauseated the whole time. Eventually I threw in the towel, and somewhere further down the road I switched over to reta, which turned out to be a totally different story. Once I paired that with a full overhaul of my diet and got serious about the gym, the relief came fast. These days the food noise has pretty much vanished, except when I genuinely let things slide and go a long stretch without a dose... though I believe using ret as a tool let me stick with my lifestyle change long enough that even when I'm not on my usual dosage, that noise doesn't seem to return. Try not to let your worries take over your head — there will definitely be good stretches and rough ones, but you're giving it your best with the tools you've managed to find, and I'm confident you'll do really well! Best of luck with your restartttt

Hey LH!

It's great to see you back in the GLP world! I just got here and have never used any GLP. My hope is that by entering the gray market—once I've learned everything I can so I can make the most informed choices—the expense that puts off so many people won't end up being a problem for me. Since you've used a GLP before, what are you going to do differently now? I'd love any advice you can give.

Apologies for answering so late.

That's a really solid question! I figured the gray market would cut my costs too. On top of that, perhaps it would give me a bit more room to play with — maybe exploring microdosing down the line, once I hit my target weight.

And then there's protein plus muscle building to concentrate on. My bum was the first thing to go the first time around, and it hasn't returned even with the weight coming back. So these days I've got to construct one for myself!

That snacking issue really hits home! If there's any ready-made food sitting around at home, I'll end up consuming every bit of it in one go.

These days I notice it more, but I still cave in far more frequently than I manage to resist.

Assuming Semaglutide worked well for you, Tirzepatide is something you will adore . When the goal is strictly dropping pounds, it covers everything you need.

Retatrutide is another option worth looking into. A lot of people see excellent outcomes with it, though each person responds differently.

In my case, it does not curb hunger the way Tirz does, but I don't want to give up the additional advantages, so I combine the two. That combination is what works like magic for me.

Best of luck figuring out crypto and locating a supplier 🍀

I've been curious about stacking too! What made you start stacking? Was it purely to speed up weight loss, or was there another reason?

After roughly 3 months on Mounjaro, I managed to get Retatrutide. Once I brought Reta into the mix, I lowered my Tirz dose, but the food noise crept back in, so I nudged my Tirz back up a bit.

On top of that, I split-dose Reta and Tirz, which means no fewer than 4 injections each week. For me, keeping things steady matters most, and this pairing has been excellent. What suits you best could look completely different.

Right now my appetite is steady. If I feel like it, I can sit down to a good meal at a restaurant, yet I no longer have the urge to overeat junk.
