Hi everyone! 👋

I’m new here and thought I’d introduce myself. I’m from Australia and work in healthcare, so I’m reasonably familiar with the medical side of things, but I’m here as a person going through my own journey and wanting to learn from others’ experiences.

Outside of work, I’m into strength training and powerlifting, so maintaining muscle, strength and performance is particularly important to me. I’m interested in learning how others have balanced GLP-1s with training, nutrition, protein intake and staying active.

I’ve had some experience with weight loss and different approaches over the years, but I’m hoping to find something that feels more sustainable and manageable long term rather than another short-term solution.

I’m particularly interested in hearing about people’s experiences with appetite changes, food choices, side effects, stalls and maintaining muscle while losing weight.

I’m looking forward to reading everyone’s experiences and hopefully contributing where I can.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone and learning along the way! 😊

Hello! I'm a fellow Aussie working in healthcare, also into strength training! I have not found GLP-1s have reduced my energy levels or performance, but depending on the doses you're using, you may find it hard to eat enough in a bulking phase - you will figure out what dose gets you to the level of appetite suppression you require, that also allows you to consume enough energy and protein. My best advice is to start low and go slow. Have you started yet?

Aussies taking over here for sure... Welcome. I dont powerlift but workout every day pretty hard for some of my goals.

ive found that prioritizing protein first has helped maintain my energy levels pretty well. I try to only eat carbs around my training windows and not noticed any noticeable lack of energy. but agree with the start as low as possible an slowly increase dose if required for your intake. My wife and i stayed on 1mg/week reta for nearly 8 months
