So, after lurking here since September I thought I should finally make my first post and join in this wonderful community. This isn't something I find easy as I'm not the most talkative or social of people, but I'll give it a go.

My GLP-1 journey started last June with prescription Mounjaro before switching to grey Tirz when the price doubled here in the UK. After a year I've finally made it into the healthy BMI range for the first time in my life and it feels amazing to no longer be a slave to my appetite. I do still have a bit more to lose but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

It's not all been plain sailing however as I had a heart attack on Christmas day. Not surprising considering my lifestyle before, but still not great to have happen at age 41. Since then it's been more about dialing in my diet and exercise than losing weight.

Thanks! It's nice to know I'm not the only one, I hope you are doing well.

Before it wasn't even considered food unless it contained beef, bacon, butter or cheese. Now it's all olive oil, chicken and legumes.

Glad to hear you're doing well after your attack!

Curious to know if the doc/hospital had any issues or comments with you being on Tirz?

Thank you. All of the cardiologists said to stay on it as the evidence shows it's beneficial. They even told me to take my dose whilst still on the ward waiting for my stents.

Did you notice any difference in efficacy when you switched from brand-name Mounjaro to grey tirz? I'm making that switch myself this week, and I'm starting to second-guess whether it'll work as well as the pharmacy version. I know it's just my doubt sinking in. I've seen the proof in the pudding. My husband has been using grey tirz for a few months and has already lost over 35 pounds, so I know it likely works just the same. I think I'm just looking for a little reassurance that, assuming it's from a reputable vendor and properly tested (all the things), grey tirz can theoretically be just as effective as the brand-name medication!! Haven't found too many articles on here about this, unless I'm not looking in the right place. I do know I was massively overweight and have lost 59 lbs in 5.2 months, and I don't intend to slow down until my BMI isn't this god damned high! Fingers crossed that I stay on the same trajectory once I make the switch!

No difference at all. I do find there is more variability with the grey though, sometimes it's really strong, other times a bit weak. Some of it might be due to differing fill amounts in the vials but mostly I think it is due to me sometimes drawing up slightly more or less in the syringe. I use quite a large, and long, needle to draw so it's hard to get a precise amount.
