Greetings,

My educational background is in pharmaceutical biotechnology, and not long ago I came across a reddit post about weight loss that made quite an impression on me. Curiosity got the better of me and I looked into this "Reta" mentioned in that post, only to realize it was an Eli Lilly API I had already read about roughly 1 year before. Personally, I have been involved in 3 clinical trials in the past: 2 from BAYER (a new administration route for Rifabutin [a tuberculosis antibiotic], plus a peptide aimed at lowering blood pressure in the lungs, conjugated to an IgG to extend circulation time) and 1 from BI, some kind of glutamate modulator. Being a vegetarian, injecting myself with B12 is nothing new to me. It struck me as quite interesting that a growing number of people out in the wild are injecting a substance still in Phase III trials; I am fairly sure this is unprecedented in history. My feel-well weight sits between 70 and 75 kg, and because of life struggles I have been above that for many years, even though I am very much into jogging and more recently lifting. I do have a leaning toward risky behaviour, such as those clinical trials, and I enjoy adjusting my supplement intake in the hope of improving my condition. At the moment I take Bupropion (Wellbutrin) for depression and for my recently diagnosed ADD; from the supposed appetite suppression I notice nothing. I know what it feels like to weigh ~75 kg and how pleasant it is to simply go for a walk, or how much easier jogging becomes, and I want to return to that.

With kind regards

Hello,

Here you'll see just how much calm folks experience from silencing food noise after starting tirzepatide. In my opinion, it's a solid starting point.

All my life I've been fixated on diets and overexercised trying to keep weight from creeping up, so now that tirz is helping, I feel far less tense about it.

It strikes me as curious that someone would require B12 shots -- for many decades I've been vegetarian, nearly vegan, though I do eat Greek yogurt for protein.

For a time I used OTC B12 supplements. When my labs came back, they showed levels that were too high, and my MD told me to quit.

Around here you'll run into every sort of viewpoint on just about anything ;-)

Thanks 🙂

The reasoning goes like this: should the enzyme in your digestive tract that's required for absorbing B12 — intrinsic factor — become impaired, which is something that does occur, then getting enough B12 through food or pills becomes a problem. Injections cost very little, and a single dose supplies enough to keep a year's supply stored in your liver. That makes it simply the reliable option.
