Greetings,

I have a background in pharmaceutical biotechnology and recently stumbled upon a reddit post regarding weight loss which impressed me. I was amused as I researched this "Reta" which was stated in the post, and found it to be Eli Lilly API I have read about about a year earlier. I myself have participated in three clinical trials in the past, two BAYER (new route of administration for Rifabutin [tuberculosis antibiotic], a peptid to lower blood pressure in the lungs conjugated to an IgG to prolong circulation;and one BI, some glutamate modulator). As a vegetarian I am no stranger to injecting myself B12. I found it very interesting that more people in the wild are injecting something that is still in Phase III trials, I am sure this is the first time in history something like this happened. My feel-well weight is 70 to 75 kg and due to life struggles I am above that since many years despite being very into joggin and now recently lifting. I do have a tendency for risky behaviour, like the clinical trials, and I do like to tweak my supplement intake in hopes of bettering my condition. I am currently taking Bupropion (Wellbutrin) against depression and for my recently diagnosed ADD, from the alleged appetite suppression I feel nothing. I know how it feels to weigh ~75 kg and how nice it is to just take a walk or how more easy jogging is and I want to get back to that.

With kind regards

Greetings,

You will find here how much peace people discover to be free of food noise once they begin taking tirzepatide. A valid place to begin IMHO.

I have been obsessive about dieting and an over-exerciser all my life in an attempt to stave off weight gain, so I'm relieved to feel more at ease now with the help of tirz.

I find it interesting that someone might need B12 injections -- I have been vegetarian for many decades, almost vegan except I use Greek yogurt for protein.

I took OTC B12 supplements for a while. My lab results showed excessive levels and my MD suggested I stop.

You will encounter all kinds of opinions about everything here ;-)

Thanks 🙂

The rationale is that if the enzyme (intrinsic factor) in your gut needed for the uptake for B12 is damaged - which can happen - you have issues getting your B12 via diet/oral supplements. And injecting is very cheap and one shot gives you a year´s worth to store in your liver. So it is just the safe route.
