Hello everyone, I've just joined after coming over from Reddit.

What I'm after is discussion grounded in facts and science, since the guidance I came across on Reddit struck me as unreliable and heavily bro science.

A quick bit about where I'm at so far — I'll keep it brief, as I don't tend to share much about who I am.

I've long been into Gym going and Bike riding, yet getting under 100kg has never happened for me; shedding the 'dad bod' has been a relentless struggle.

After reading up on Ozempic and Wegovy, I worked out that my BMI wouldn't qualify me for those medications, so I kept researching and came across Reta.

4 weeks in, I'm down 7kg, though the bulk of that is water weight since I was on creatine before beginning reta, so I expect a further water drop as creatine levels fall.

My starting dose was 2.5mg and I've just taken a dose at 3mg; so far only the first week brought moderate symptoms, otherwise things have gone really smoothly.

My partner is now beginning Reta too, at a dosage much lower than mine.

Thanks 🙂

Greetings from Germany! I began over on reddit, but I've come over to this community as well. What dose was your partner taking? The wife and I only began yesterday, using a very small amount to see how it goes

She began at 1mg, with her 2nd injection scheduled for tomorrow.

Her adjustment period was pretty tough—headaches lasted roughly 3 days—so we'll watch how round 2 goes and possibly either switch to split doses or go down to .5

We kicked things off with 0,25mg on tuesday, and so far it's going well, so we might take another dose on sunday

Welcome!

Taking the slow, low approach is completely fine! Staying cautious is the smarter move, so you avoid side effects that can slam into you like a mack truck.

I'd recommend staying on top of your fibre intake. Today has been rough for me: I went out to dinner yesterday evening, had just a small meal plus a ginger beer, and then I was out the whole day.

Whether this is because I haven't been getting enough fibre since starting reta, or whether it was what I ate last night, I can't say for sure.

Either way, I went out and bought a bag of drinkable fibre, and that ought to help things move through the pipes a bit more smoothly.

Welcome. Switching over from reddit to this place was a smart move on your part. You'll find more science here, and slightly less of the "wow, dude, this worked for me" vibe. Alright, there's still a bit of that around.

If there are any peptides you're curious about, give the search function here a try.

Or simply post your question here and we'll share some thoughts.
