Hey👋🏻, glpquest1 here. I've joined to pick up more knowledge about peptides, and right now I'm not taking anything. Reta has really caught my attention, and I'm aiming to source some ahead of the FDA giving them the green light. My goal is weight loss, but the food noise keeps coming out on top in the end. Fingers crossed I can find whatever I need right here, thanks!

Same here — nothing in my system at the moment, and I'm eager to pick up more knowledge about peptides as well. The food noise gets the upper hand with me too, and that's seriously annoying!

Glad to have you here! You've got a lot of material ahead of you, so best of luck. Should the FDA give the green light, reta's situation will shift, though in my view that's at least a few years off.

I get what you mean. I dropped a decent amount on my own, but eventually the noise seemed to grow even louder and I began slipping backwards badly. I had to stop and go the peptide way. It's wild how the noise simply disappeared.

Welcome aboard! The amount of material on this site can feel overwhelming, as though you were sipping from a fire hose. Have a good time!

Trying to control how much comes at you on this forum is like capping a fire hose with your thumb.

Hello! Like the others have said, this forum has a ton of useful info. Wishing you the best!

Just my 2 cents, as someone who has run both tirz and reta (and dropped over 100 pounds). Tirz acts faster and, for most people it seems, does more for food noise.

I've given all 3 a shot, though my Reta dosage is still being dialed in, so I can't call it yet. A few weeks in on Reta and my hunger has gone up. Early on I barely ate anything, but that was likely partly because my previous product was still in my system. Compared with the first 2 versions, constipation has eased on Reta. Bloodwork came back fine recently, but since I don't have a GP right now, I haven't run many tests.

For overall health, I expect Reta will end up being my go-to; my breathing and kidney function are both better. Weight has come off while using the different GLP-1s, but I never had much to shed to begin with—just a patch of VERY stubborn belly fat.

That really grabs my attention, since the same point keeps coming up repeatedly, and still... what explains retatrutide studies showing greater weight reduction compared with tirzepatide?

From what people report, though, tirzepatide does seem to do a better job at quieting food noise and suppressing appetite.

Could it be the glucagon agonist — that third one in reta — which ramps up how quickly your metabolism burns?

I'm only speculating here, but reta's gradual buildup means it appears to need a lot more time before the food noise actually settles down. When I introduced reta, I attempted to lower my tirz dose, and that turned out to be impossible for me. On top of that, reta gives me something of an anxious sensation, at least in my case. I ought to begin logging it so I can figure out how it lines up with my levels according to shotsy. That's why I'm increasing so gradually. Since late Jan I've been using reta, and I'm still only at 2mg every 5 days (which works out to roughly 2.8mg every 7, if my math is right). A lot of other folks seem to stack additional peps, cagri maybe, to deal with food noise while on reta, but I've got a stash of tirz that's just sitting there creeping past its BUD, so I'll keep using that instead.

Given that trial 4 is underway and the data it's generating, I'd be shocked if approval didn't come through before this year is out.

It's interesting to come across this, since it's been my main source of frustration and is basically the very search that brought me here to this forum why do I still struggle with food noise on reta. 🤔 I've been using reta for 6 weeks. It's been frustrating that it hasn't silenced the food noise the way sema did in my case (Tirz is something I've never tried). I'll be looking around and reading to find out whether there's a particular why behind this. I've read great things about reta.. but right now I need to focus on getting weight off before I dive into working towards overall health benefits with peptides.

What I did was introduce Reta gradually on top of the Semalglutide I was already taking. At that point my dose was only 1 ml, though I've taken 2ml of Semalglutide before with no problems. Even so, my appetite vanished to an extreme degree, and that happened even once I stopped the Semalglutide. For roughly 2 weeks I had no choice but to rely on protein drinks. These days I'm at 10mg of Reta, and my appetite is starting to return, most likely since the Semalglutide has fully worn off by now. My intention is to work up to 15mg eventually so my A1C reaches normal. It's fairly close at the moment, but still not quite there. I'm buying some CGM sensors myself, paying out of pocket, to keep an eye on how things are going.

Another newbie saying hello! I’ve only just begun Tirz, and I’m joining to pick up tips and hear about other people’s experiences. This forum holds a ton of information.

After dropping roughly 60 pounds on tirz, my A1C dropped from 5.7 down to 5.4 between February and August. I'll be having it checked once more shortly.

On Feb18th they measured 5.2 at the hospital, then 5.8 at the blood lab on Mar 3rd. A shift that fast seems unlikely to me. That truckload of Jelly donuts probably wasn't my best idea. 😁 According to my freestyle Libre, GMI sits at 5.7 while daily averages hover near 5.6.

Weight loss has been slow lately, yet over the past few weeks Reta appears to be trimming away that stubborn belly fat. New pants became necessary once I started Reta.

TRT is next on my list, with the goal of better sleep and restored energy.
