How do you track changes when starting a new peptide?

I’ve been working on getting more disciplined about monitoring things whenever I introduce something new. It feels very natural to pin every shift on the most recent peptide, even though sleep, food, workouts, and other factors all play a role in how you feel.

If you’re someone who tries out various peptides, do you typically hold a few variables steady while adding something, or do you simply keep doing what you normally do and evaluate it as time passes?

When I start a new peptide, I'm terrible at monitoring anything. I just inject a bunch of them and figure they must be doing something. lol.

😂 That's me too. These days I'm making an effort to keep things a bit more structured, so I can tell what actually shifted and at what point.

I prefer to introduce only one new thing at a time. I'm eager to begin GHKCU, but since I've just started Cagri, I'm holding off. Staying patient is a challenge, though.

When I add a new pin, my approach is to alter just a single variable and keep sleep, diet and training steady for about 2 weeks before I make any judgment. If you don't do that, a bad week of sleep or a tougher training block ends up getting pinned on the peptide. It isn't exciting, but at least you aren't left trying to figure out which of 5 variables was responsible.

There are plenty of peps I like that I inject roughly 1 to 2 times per day...but being honest, thinking about adding any more is tough...right now I have at least 3 on hand, plus 5 or 6 new and different ones on the way...(I just received tracking for 4 of them) that I have never tried before...

...and yeah, I strongly believe in introducing just one at a time and letting a week or three pass to observe what effects/results it may have, if any, and recording them in my spreadsheet with date, dose, results....

....but with the bad back, doctors, too many pain pills....I am pretty sure I will put the new ones in the freezer and won't give them a whirl until the new year...at least...

Has anyone passed along fresh suggestions for handling your back?

A guy came by to repair our dishwasher, and he told us back problems had kept him flat on his back for a number of years. Hatha yoga was what finally helped, and he's stuck with it religiously for 7 years. Right there in the kitchen he showed us a few moves! He says he's got his life back now, anyway. My husband deals with serious neck and back pain, and I'm never going to turn down some healthy pain relief, so we agreed we'd do the same ... 3 weeks on, um, still haven't? But we intend to! One day!

Thanks for the kind words, Ms Angie... 🙂...So yeah, what's going on with my back is a cyst that's pressing against a spinal nerve, and it's causing a huge amount of pain. I've got a spine surgeon lined up who's ready to remove it, but medicare won't approve the surgery unless I jump through some hoops first: 2 more weeks of PT (which only makes it worse instead of helping 😳), then a steroid shot, and after that everyone confirms that none of it did any good, and with any luck medicare gives the go-ahead for the surgery... it's a non-invasive out-patient procedure, and according to the surgeon I'll be up and walking again the same day......👍😎

Back in 2002 or 2003, I was pulling a liquid oxygen tank out of the back of a van and injured my back. I went through some physical therapy, but only until the workers' comp coverage was exhausted. The back pain stayed severe for me until 2006, which is when I took up yoga — bikram yoga in particular. Since then I have kept up yoga for 20 years, and my back has not given me problems.

That sounds rough, and I hope you find the relief you are after...

The pain has been the worst and longest-lasting I have ever experienced... and I'm no spring chicken... 😳... and I appreciate you saying that... ❤️

No need to worry though, medicare is covering me.... so to speak...😎... and the physical therapy folks are a good time and I actually look forward to those sessions, even when nothing comes of them.... and the people at work (I come in for a few hours each week since it's a cool spot to be) give me a hard time because my bargain collapsable cane 'squeaks' as I shuffle along, so they get a heads up that I'm on my way....😎

So I get by and keep pushing through it, keeping my sights set on the surgery that will hopefully put me back in shape... maybe even let me get back to hiking... it'd just be "fit old man hiking"... but it still counts....👍

Whenever I introduce a new item, I hold everything else steady for the whole cycle. Depending on the pep protocol, some cycles run longer than others.

It takes a lot of time, but I can't think of another way to tell whether it's working, or which input is responsible for which side effects.

Given that everyone here does their own research, has anyone looked into castor oil as a treatment for cysts?

Right now I'm working through my PT stint, after that comes the steroid shot phase....and once that's done, I'll have the spine surgeon operate on me....I'm pushing through every hoop as quickly as possible so I can get it all over with.....still, it's kind of you to think of me, nice!.... 👍 🙂😍

I don't have much patience, so I typically wait just 1 or 2 weeks for half lives to even out. Even so, over the past month I have introduced 3 peptides. 😅(A DIY KPV/BPC 157 blend and Elora.)

When it comes to weight loss, my graph makes it obvious when Elora entered the picture…the slope gets much steeper!

I'd really like to hear more details about the blend you're using... does it come out to roughly 50/50?

The ratio I use is 2 parts BPC to 1 part KPV. A couple of reasons went into that: I have a kit of BPC-157 20mg vials on hand, but only 2 single vials of KPV 10mg, and on top of that I was after more of what BPC 157 does. My dose is 250mcg BPC/ 125mcg KPV 2x daily, and I pin close to where it hurts (my L knee, or my love handles—as near to my back as I can manage LOL!)

That absolutely counts! I'm really hoping the surgery goes well. Tell us when we should be crossing our fingers!

That pain sounds awful, I'm really sorry you're dealing with it. Still, knowing there's a finish line ahead is a great thing.
