That would be the logical assumption? I've never encountered it outside of a sealed bottle.

Once the H is cracked open, Hospira permits reconstituting my test materials only until the peptide's 90-day usage limit.

From the H vial, I draw for as long as 60 days.

The spikes and covers arrived today. They aren't Curos brand. The spike is short, and its base is wide. I've come across vial cases made for the tall spike, but nothing for this short, wide version. I can't take a picture right now since I'm away from home.

If I'm pulling doses out of a mixed vial using an 8mm needle, would that kind of setup actually be useful? That said, the 31g 8mm worked fine for me once more today.

For routine daily draws, I don't really see the point of vial spikes. Compared with an insulin syringe, using a luer lock barrel and needle would just be slower, more of a hassle, and cost more.

Not really—there was a brief period when I was using the 31g 8mm and it was a pain. I've got the hang of it now; I just have to be certain I'm piercing the middle of the stopper. Those 31s bend without much effort.

when you take samples, say 3 of them, you get a standard deviation that serves to indicate error margins. Anyway,

I wanted to know because my guess would be that it's bac water that's already been opened, yet assuming it's still sealed and coming from a supplier, my expectation is that it would remain good for more than 3 months.

For vials I repeatedly puncture, my thinking is that this would reduce the chance of coring. With Hospira, possibly. With GHK-Cu, very likely.

I just keep going with a bottle until there's nothing left in it. Right now I'd guess 3 of them are open, since I misplace them constantly

$25 is way too much. Sure, prices recently climbed, but you can still find it at $10-15 a bottle in lots of places. Eventually it may rise, though hitting 25 isn't likely, certainly not in the near term.

Hospira stays good for a minimum of 3 months, maybe even beyond that. No need to stress about it so much.

Should a systemic bacterial infection occur, that's your signal to open a fresh vial. Just don't do your reconstitution in the bathroom and chances are you'll be fine.

How long a hospira bottle lasts depends on how much research my wife and I do—it can take 1-4 months to empty. No issues so far.

Given the choice, I'd trust 4-month-old hospira over bac water from a vendor that was just opened.
