Hello everyone,

Checking in from MN. I’m finally starting my Tirz journey (2.5mg) after a two-year internal battle.

Back in 2024, I walked away from a prescription thinking I could white-knuckle it alone. I actually had great success with intermittent fasting dropping from 350# down to 270# but life happened. Stress led back to old habits, and I’ve climbed back up to 320#. I took my first dose yesterday and the "food noise" vanishing is honestly spooky. Already learned my lesson w/ red meat (the stomach "pins and needles" are no joke).

I’m here to learn, but I’m also here to push the envelope. I’ve been fascinated by the Reta research and am strongly considering introducing a .5mg "stack" to my Tirz regimen early on. I know the standard advice is wait a plateau, but curious if anyone here thinks there's an advantage to being proactive.

I’m looking forward to learning from others experience. Glad to be here and finally starting this chapter.

Hello fellow Minnesotan!

I've been on my Tirz journey for the past 10 months with great success. I still have a ways to go and am currently migrating over to Reta myself.

Howdy, neighbor! Very cool, that's great to hear. What's the transition to Reta been like? I'm hearing the "food noise" doesn't go away quite as well with that? But certrainly it's all the rage right now.

I decided to do an overlap of both titrating down on Tirzepatide while I Titrate up on Reta. Before transitioning I was at 3.6mg of tirzepatide every 5 days. I'm a month into Reta starting at 1mg before moving into 2mg of Reta where I'm at now while I maintain 2.5mg of Tirzepatide.

So far I feel pretty normal hunger is under control and I'm still losing at a steady rate. Once I get to 4mg on Reta I'll do 1mg of Tirz and then from there cut it out if the stack. I'm hoping since I'm a bit of a super responder that I'll do fine on Reta too. If I do feel like I get a bit of hunger I want to try and add Cagri to the mix. But it's still too early to tell.

Interesting, thanks for sharing your experience. Any racing heart conditions with the reta?

Nothing yet. My fitness band hadn't registered any increase in my heart rate. About the only thing is I have noticed is a little constipation which I've never had in Tirzepatide, but otherwise it hasn't been that bad.

Welcome, I am also new to the forum but have been reading here for the past year. I started with Tirz and got as high as 12.5 mg with no side effects or weight loss for 5 months. I was already doing a clean keto diet for several years but stalled and regained after endocrinologist reduced my dose of thyroid medication. My GP took over thyroid treatment and switched me to Armour Thyroid. I added Reta starting at .5 mg and slowly increased the dose and decreased the Tirz. I started losing weight when I got to 1mg. I finished out the Tirz I had and went to Reta alone. Food noise is different on Reta. I get hungry but after a few bites I feel full and don't want eat any more. My weight loss has been slower but I am okay with that. I still have about 20 pounds to go. Between Keto and Reta I have lost 82 pounds. (50 after adding Reta)

Interesting. Were you ever taking Tirz and reta at the same time? Playing with the idea of starting off with a tirz reta stack, but i keep going back and forth. Maybe I should just max out tirz before adding reta..

I never maxed out Tirz. I spent five months with NO weight loss. Slowly added Reta and finally

saw the scale start to move with the addition of 1.0 mg of Reta.

This is what I did.

12.5 Tirz and .5 Reta twice a week for 4 weeks ( 3 days apart)

12.5 Tirz and 1.0 mg Reta twice a week for 4 weeks (3 days apart)

Finally started losing weight

12.5 Tirz and 1.5 mg Reta twice a week for 4 weeks

6.25 Tirz and 2.0 mg Reta twice a week for 4 weeks

5.0 Tirz and 2.5 Reta twice a week for 4 weeks

Used up Tirz and never reordered

moved to 3.0 mg Reta twice a week on its own and continued to move up every 4 weeks ( I went as high as 6.0 mg twice a week.)

My weight loss stalled this fall. I was not eating enough and was cold all the time, had no energy. I lowered my dose to 6.0 mg once a week. then went to 7.0 once a week and started losing weight again. this month. I plan on staying here as long as I can. Looking to lose at least another 20 pounds.
