Has anyone stacked low-dose Cagri with Reta for food noise?

Right now I'm taking 3mg of Reta. My titration so far went like this:

0.5mg for 1 week

1mg for 3 weeks

1.5mg for 3 weeks

2mg for 3 weeks

3mg for 2 weeks

Things are going well overall, but food noise and cravings still catch me at times, especially for sweets.

Appetite suppression varies a lot day to day. Some days it's strong; other days I'm clearly hungrier. I'll finish a meal feeling full, then an hour later I'm already thinking about a snack. Today was rough, which caught me off guard since I'm in week 2 at 3mg, but honestly the noise has been louder than usual all week. It's nowhere near what it was before GLP, but it's still there and it bothers me - ideally I wouldn't feel tempted at all.

Instead of pushing Reta higher, I'm thinking about adding a low dose of Cagri, since I don't want to risk bad side effects from ramping up too fast. I already have one vial of Cagri on hand because I've been curious about it for a while, but I keep going back and forth on whether to actually commit to a small 0.25 dose.

Has anyone here added Cagri while still on a fairly low dose of Reta? What led you to add it instead of increasing Reta, and did it quiet the food noise?

I'm also wondering if staying at a lower Reta dose means giving up some of its metabolic benefits - though I feel I probably shouldn't worry much about that, since I track my calories, have my nutrition dialled down tbh, and I've lost 9kg since August 3rd.

I'd love to hear your experiences, whether good or bad!

I'm on 10 mg Tirz rather than Reta, and I recently began stacking .25 mg Cagri on top of it. Still too early to say how it's working.
3. I listed my schedule above — perhaps I should have written the MG more clearly, haha. I'll edit it.

From what I can tell in the Reta trials, the smallest dose studied was 4mg — the lower steps existed only to let people adapt.

Hmm... I was also considering moving up to 4mg next week, even though I've only been on 3mg for 2 weeks, then reassessing. Another thought was to eat a bit more this week if the hunger is genuinely there. I'm still running a deficit, just a smaller one than before, and the noise has been bothering me lately.

It's possible that once you've completed week 4 at 3mg, things will settle down. Should that not happen, increasing the Reta dose is an option, and adding cagri is another one. Just don't make both changes at once.

I added cagri on top of reta about 2.5 weeks back. My current doses are 12mg reta and .25mg cagri. Since starting, constipation has been a real issue for me, so my plan is to lower the reta somewhat while raising the cagri, since I suspect I'll need a bit more cagri to get food cravings under control (mostly sweets, which I hardly ever wanted before I began Reta).

On the metabolic side of reta, I've come across the idea that the full benefits kick in somewhere around 6-8mg, though I'd take that with a grain of salt since I can't verify whether it's accurate.

On average I've been stepping up every 3 weeks, since by week 3 at the same dose I clearly notice I want more suppression than I had in the first 2 weeks. This time, though, it feels a little odd that I'm getting similar feelings in week 2 of the same dose — and I'd say the cravings may even be stronger. What's strange is that I expected stronger effects as I titrate up, so maybe I've misunderstood how this works.

Perhaps I'm simply impatient, wanting to add cag while I'm still on a low reta dose haha. It's not as if it's pushing me out of my deficit, because it isn't. How has it been for you?

No problem, thanks. Honestly, I don't think I should worry too much about the metabolic effects.

Has anyone added Cagri while on a relatively low dose of Reta? What made you decide to add it rather than increase Reta, and did it help with food noise?

Yes, definitely! I've come down to 2mg of Reta from a peak of 4mg over the past 8 months. About a month after starting Reta, I began adding .25mg of Cagri. It worked incredibly well for me. I titrated very slowly across the following few months. These days I take 1mg of Cagri the day after my Reta dose. I love it. It does the job. The noise is gone. I'm really happy with it. That said, I have some Elora sitting around that I'm dying to try 🤣 The perfectionism NEVER ends!

Oooooo!! What got you thinking about lowering your Reta dose? I've held off on picking up Elora because cag is still something I haven't tried. Honestly I think the appeal of trying everything is just too strong 🤣🤣 there's so much out there that looks tempting

I'm getting quite close to my weight-loss goal. On top of that, I haven't had a proper night's sleep in roughly 9 months. And when I stand up I get so dizzy that I feel physically ill. Depending on how my progress goes, my plan is 1mg Reta, 1mg Cagri and 1mg Tirz, possibly raising the Tirz if I need to, spread across the week. Tirz does a lot for the food noise, and Cagri combined with Reta absolutely crushes it. It's so individual — everyone has to keep trying and experimenting until they find the sweet spot. And then it changes! 🤣

Some of us (I can't speak for everyone) want to try EVERY. DAMN. THING. in large amounts! 🤣

I take Tirz, Reta, and Cagri.

My advice would be to keep raising your Reta dose until the results satisfy you. A lot of people settle somewhere in the 4mg to 8mg range of Reta. Others go higher, and clearly lower doses don't work for you. I only brought Reta in once I was happy with Tirz and had no wish to increase Tirz further.

Next, you mention food noise. From where I sit, Tirz handles food noise far better than Reta or Cagri does. If food noise is the issue you want fixed, I would have picked Tirz first and then added Reta as the second peptide in your stack. The Tirz sweet spot appears to fall between 5mg and 12.5mg. Space your Reta and Tirz pins a few days apart.

Cagri would come third for me, once you have Tirz and Reta dialed in.

That's just my opinion. The decision is yours.

Before you add another compound, I'd raise your Reta dose to at least 4mg. Research indicates the glucagon component only becomes fully active from 4mg onward, so below that point you haven't gotten the full benefit of all 3 receptors that Reta engages.

For what it's worth, I went up very gradually and I'm now in my 12th week at 4mg, with a planned step to 6mg next week. At 4mg the results were very effective for me.

Appreciate the feedback! I'm considering bumping up to 4 this Sunday even though I've only done 2 weeks at 3. In my head that should be fine since the trials increased by 2mg per step. As for the food noise, for a long stretch it worked great and was just what I needed. Lately though, the noise seems louder than at the start, which is odd given I'm on a bigger dose. I've considered adding Tirz rather than Cagri, but since I already had a cagri vial on hand to try, I figured maybe I should give that a go. Perhaps the smartest move is to reach at least 4mg Reta and then reassess.

That seems like a sensible plan. Given the trials began at 2 and went up by 2mg every 4 weeks, I've been very cautious. As I mentioned above, I'm thinking of moving to 4mg this Sunday, which will be week 13 for me but only 2 weeks at 3mg...I might just take the risk lol.

If it were me, I'd go to somewhere between 4-6mg of Reta per week and then add cagri to deal with food noise.

I'm nearly at my goal weight now. My plan is to drop to a maintenance dose of Reta below 4mg, and once my Reta runs out I'll switch to Tirz. The reason is to get my resting heart rate back down to normal and to sleep better.

To be fair, that does sound like the smarter approach. Yesterday I really felt like I couldn't keep going through this week feeling that way — though that's a bit dramatic, since I was still in a deficit, just not as harsh a one 🙈 Today I feel okay again though haha. Maybe it was just one of those days haha

My Reta titration went from 0.5 once weekly up to 2.25 mg twice weekly over several weeks, and I stayed at that level. In roughly 13 or 14 weeks I dropped 45 lbs. Once food noise started returning, I swapped one Reta dose for Tirz and titrated that up to 2 mg as well. Since some food noise is still present, I plan to add a weekly Cagri shot. Fortunately my weight has held steady despite the background food noise. At this stage, even with the food noise, I believe I've established some of the lifestyle habits that ought to go along with peptide use. Giving in to cravings for sweet and salty snacks is simply not something I'd consider now, and the same goes for beer.

I'm able to hold off on the urges now, which is a big change from how I was before starting a GLP — haha. I just wish those urges weren't hanging around at all 😂
