Part of what I run includes Lipo-C with B12 at 1ml, 2x per week. Yesterday's shot went in like always, no issues. Then this morning the spot where I pinned is red, swollen, and itchy — though it's not tender or warm when I touch it. That was pin 5 out of the same vial (vial 1 from a brand new kit), and it's the only one that's acted up. I move my pin sites around, and I always wipe myself and the vial stopper with a new alcohol pad both before and after drawing. I have zero idea why this is hitting now. I went ahead and took an antihistamine this morning as a precaution, but the itch had already quit before I even swallowed it.

I'm fairly confident this is nothing serious, but I figured I'd post to see what folks suggest watching for, what best practices look like, and so on. I don't know what I don't know. And for the newer people here who keep asking whether it's okay to reuse needles or skip rotating sites — let my situation be a lesson. Because I rotate and log every injection site, I can pinpoint exactly which pin and which compound caused this. Every injection gets a brand new needle, so cross-contamination from an earlier shot isn't the culprit. There's no mystery about which one is the problem. Take the extra minute and do the safe thing.

That's exactly why my epipen and allergy meds sit right on the counter where I do my pins. The aim is staying healthy and safe, not being reckless. I really respect how closely you're paying attention.

Before this, had you noticed absolutely nothing suggesting any smaller reactions?

Not at all. That said, I'll admit each injection of this Lipo-C has given a very slight sting while going in — nothing beyond that, though. Until this point, none of the spots showed any redness, swelling, itching, or anything else.

That's really intriguing. Could something separate have been going on that triggered your body to respond like that, even though it hadn't before? In my case, I've experienced reactions that looked like shellfish allergies, but the real culprit was my sodium levels post-workout, which set off histamine surges. Do you reckon that could be what happened here?

Whether that could actually happen, I really can't say. For the past 3 weeks I've been hitting the gym 6 days a week, yet this problem only showed up now. On top of that, roughly 5 minutes after my shot, my gf drew 1ml out of the very same vial and she's completely fine. So my guess is leaning toward an allergic reaction rather than contamination.

Do you plan on injecting it once more to check whether the reaction was just a fluke?

I'm wondering whether something different going on in your body triggered the interaction.

That is what I intend to do. To eliminate any other factors, I will scrub and sterilize every item completely, then inject at another location and watch whether a reaction shows up once more. Should it repeat, my next step will probably be to use a different vial for the following injection, checking whether the issue lies with the original vial or whether my body has simply had enough of Lipo-C.

I'll take care of it. Wednesday is when you should check for it.

Had a comparable experience: injected mots-c a couple of days ago, and roughly 30 minutes afterward, itchy red patches showed up on both thighs. After taking an antihistamine, they cleared up within 60 minutes.

Could it be that a small vein got nicked? 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m calling it quits on mots-c. Every single time, I got ISRs. Redness plus some soreness and itching, but with my final pin it ballooned like a bee sting right away and afterward turned into a bruise. That’s my limit.

I figured hitting a vein would leave a bruise. Itching or redness wasn't something I expected from that. Not sure. I'm still figuring this out.

Ugh. In a month or two I'm planning to start the NAD+, SS31, and MOTS-C protocol, and I keep coming across bad experiences with MOTS-C and NAD+. Hopefully they won't hit me that hard. Guess we'll see.

For anyone following the original ISR, here's an update: this morning the redness has faded somewhat and there's a bit of itchiness again, but it's much milder than it was yesterday.

My partner uses motsc and nad+. With motsc there's no reaction at all, and nad gives a slight sting during the injection but nothing beyond that. ghkcu also causes him no reaction. Lucky guy. So it varies from person to person, and you could end up with nothing.

For several months I was running peps with no problems whatsoever, right up until I introduced BPC. The moment I did that, every spot I'd previously pinned started itching! My glutes, sides, and stomach area felt as though I'd dozed off on top of an anthill and been bitten all over. What is going on?!🙄💀

MOTS-C and NAD+ are both part of my routine, and after injecting the two of them this morning I noticed a bit of soreness that faded fairly quickly. My guess is that it happened because I used my love handles instead of my stomach. Where I inject seems to matter more than what I inject, at least in my case. KLOW is the exception — that one burns nearly every time.

Update: yesterday I injected my regular Lipo-C into a different spot, and there were no issues at all. All normal. But this morning I woke up to redness and itching, exactly the same as the last time. So either an allergy to it is building up in me, or the vial itself has gone bad. On Sunday I'll open a fresh vial and check whether the same reaction shows up. Anyone here with experience using Lipo-C w/B12? Anyone had reactions like this? Are there any specific directions for Lipo-C that I might not know about?

CHK cu is the sole item that provokes anything in me, and it's just mild redness. At the moment I'm running a cycle of SS-31, and once that wraps up, MOTC-c will be next. Another thing I found out: glute shots beat belly shots by a lot, now that I can just barely bend enough to get back there. No pinching required at all — it slides straight in and hurts nothing.
