My 6-year stash of tirzepatide, still in the original vendor kit boxes, got thrown into the frost-free top-freezer compartment of my regular fridge wherever they happened to land, with no additional packaging at all.

No complaints from them, since old wives' tales and bad science mean nothing to them. Freeze-drying leaves them without moisture, and they're vacuum-sealed (otherwise they'd never get used anyway).

He specifically mentioned a fridge… a lot of those small countertop units lack a compressor and rely on a Peltier heat pump instead. They can't reach the same low temperatures (30-40° below ambient), though they will run from USB and cost very little.

The one I have sits near 40°, and I store my in-use items there so they don't take up space in the family refrigerators.

I've got a cheap Vevor portable fridge/freezer, 10 quart size. Inside it, 3 of the 32oz hydrapeak containers fit. My goal was to get the smallest compressor-driven freezer available, and it sits in a tiny root cellar. A Govee wifi thermometer is placed in 1 of the hydrapeaks, and it swings from roughly -0.5f to -1.5f. Since it isn't frost free, the temperature stays below 0f unless the door is opened. No idea on its lifespan, but time will tell. Its compressor works like the ones in dorm fridges, unlike the cosmetic/makeup type that function differently and can only drop the temp to around 35f below ambient.

My kits just sit on a basement shelf. If they end up going bad, I'll come back and say so—though the idea that they only "last a few days/weeks in room-temp" has already been shown to be false around here . The spot is dark and the temperature doesn't fluctuate.

I hopped on the Hydrapeak bandwagon not long ago. To be upfront, I'm not overly concerned with getting the temperatures exactly right or anything like that—what I like is being able to keep 60 vials tucked into a small container that I can put in the rear of my freezer.

Which Hydra Peak capacity do you have? Power outages happen a lot where we are, so I'd really like to protect mine.

Which Hydra Peak size do you have? From what I can see on Amazon, the inserts are listed as holding 48. If there were a 60 option, that would be ideal.

With the 32oz size, the inserts designed for 48 vials will fit. Usually these come as 3 components: 2 bigger ones plus 1 smaller one.

A vendor on Etsy called PepPrintsLimited offers a holder that accommodates 60 vials. The upper insert includes compartments designed for desiccant beads, which the seller loads prior to shipping the item to you.

My peptides sit inside 32-ounce Hydrapeak containers, using after-market inserts along with an after-market cold-pack. Those containers go into a -40-degree F chest freezer, which I keep set to -30 degrees. And in case the power goes out, the freezer is packed with -10-degree phase-change cold-packs, enough to hold the peptides below freezing for at least three days.

Sure, a generator is another option. Or I suppose I could relocate to Antarctica for extra safety. But wouldn't that be a bit much, ya think?

Nope—most mini fridges lack compressors.

Most mini fridges are the kind you'd find in a frat house.
