Last night at about 23:00 I did 1 injection of GHK Cu. 12un 2mg. To keep the sting away I put in additional BAC. It was at room temperature. Just 1 shot, SQ, into the belly. I went slowly. There was no burning, no stinging, nothing at all. Perf!! Then I slept. When I got up there was no bruising, no welts, and no itching. But a dull soreness that is quite noticeable and about the size of my hand is still there. I looked into it and there isn’t much out there besides a single article that says it’s normal inflammation caused by the copper charge. Anyway, I’m relaxing with an ice pack. I’m trying to decide whether I want to put up with dull achiness for months. Any ideas for a better spot to pin? Could a lower dose help? Should I massage the area? I’m open to advice from experts. Thank you!

try adding some lido/epi into the mix, or bring the ph up to roughly 7.5-8 with sodium bicarbonate 8.4%. that ought to do the trick. this place has loads of threads covering that. a quick search should turn them up.

Important Factors for Keeping GHK-Cu Stable

  • Ideal pH Window: 4.5 – 7.4.
  • Conditions That Break It Down: When pH drops under 4 (excessively acidic) or climbs past 9 (excessively alkaline), the peptide and copper come apart.
  • Stability in Formulation: In water and inside the 4.5–7.4 span, GHK-Cu remains stable over long durations, yet it is prone to hydrolysis under extreme conditions, particularly alkaline ones.

The discomfort comes from how acidic the pH is. Bringing that pH up makes a big difference. Another option I brought up before is mixing in lido/epi, which takes the sensation away. That said, a lot of people have gotten the best outcome by using SB to bring the pH up until it feels tolerable.

I experienced something comparable; switching to glute injections resolved it for me.

I've got SB tablets on hand, so I could try to figure something out. Acetic acid is something I already have. Could that work too? If so, what ratio should I use? And I'm guessing this would only go into the pin, not the vial.

Scratch that bit about acetic acid. Head's not cooperating at all right now lol.

Yep, that injection is not a pleasant one. My side, abdomen, and thigh all gave me trouble when I tried them. A person told me the side of their butt worked well for them, so I reconstituted my GHK-Cu with an additional 2ml and injected there. (I had only done 3 pins before adding the extra back water, so I know the dosage strength change was meaningful.)

Now and then I notice something later on in the day, but it is not significant or enough to distract me.

I have also come across the idea that using a numbing wipe prior to the pin, then applying a massager to the area afterward, reduces the spiciness.

There is a lot of useful info in this thread.

That's a lot of useful information. Today I'll give it another shot, subcutaneously in the buttocks. Still, I'm not looking forward to it 😭 yesterday's dull pain was miserable. It was like someone booted me in the stomach. On top of that, I was completely wiped out. Whatever. Beauty hurts 🤷‍♀️

Tons of good info. I will try again today SQ buttocks. But I’m dreading it 😭 yesterday with dull pain was crappy. Felt like I got kicked in stomach. Was super tired too. Oh well. Pain is beauty 🤷‍♀️

On the butt cheek. I had the exact same reaction.

My vanity outweighs my fear of going through that pain another time. 😂

Best of luck to you! For me, glute injections worked out much better, though my partner continued to experience discomfort. I might be able to get her to give it another go with the lid/epi combo added, but since she's had severe pain from it on 3 separate occasions, I doubt she'll want to attempt it again 🙁

Wish you luck! I definitely had better luck with glute pins, but my partner still had pain. I may be able to convince her to try again with the lid/epi addition, but she had bad pain from it 3 times so I'm not sure she'll be willing to try again 🙁

Should that be the case, my 4th attempt is what finally worked. Consider using numbing wipes prior to the pin, then a massage gun afterward. From what I understand, that pairing works really well for certain individuals.

Where are you even getting Lido/epi from? Getting lidocaine on its own isn't hard, but the version with epinephrine? Doesn't that require a medical license?
