Hi all, new to this board though grey and GLPs are old news for me

THE HISTORY:

I've been running Tirz close to 3 years and dropped 270->220. Big win. Then I moved over to Reta and shed another 10(ish) — another big win. As a 6ft tall male I never quite reached my target of living in the 190s, but I'll take it.

So in my head Reta was the king. Then I more or less flattened out on Reta at 215(ish), which for practical purposes matched what Tirz had done.

About a year on from that, "Anhedonia" — or just that flat "bla" feeling — forced me back onto Tirz alone. My natural setting is upbeat and positive, but stacked high on Reta life simply stops being enjoyable.

Roughly 10-15lbs came back, and I'm sitting somewhere in the 225->230 band. I can tell, and it has to change.

Through most of 2026 I've been at 10mg of Tirz /w.

THE PLAN:

Where GLP-1s are concerned my choices look somewhat narrow. My thinking is that Reta WOULD or COULD carry me back to where I used to be, and maybe to where I want to end up — except that Anhedonia rules out going straight back to a high Reta dose.

Tentatively the plan is 15+mg of Tirz AND a very low 1-2mg/w of Reta added on top.

Anyone been down this road? Did it work? Really I'm after ideas and stories about what has worked. Diet and exercise clearly count for something, but that belongs in a different thread I think.

What doses had you reached on Tirz and Reta before?

Well, both of them I've taken up to their maximum doses — not for very long stretches, but it happened. Never simultaneously, obviously.

For more than a year now I've been running 8 mg tirrz alongside 7 mg reta. It does the job for me. As they say, mileage may vary.

I added reta on top of tirz to get past a stall. Tirz has been continuous for me since day one — what changed was lowering the tirz while bringing reta in. That pairing did clear the plateau. Several months now at 10mg of reta, and I'm hoping to settle into a fresh maintenance balance. The 'bla' is starting to register with me, and it's far nastier than the name suggests.

Beyond the GLPs, where do things stand? Are calories, protein, training and sleep getting attention? Tightening up whichever of those is still loose could be a major lever for getting the scale moving again.

Sure, there's a 4mile hike 3, sometimes 4 times weekly, plus some light strength training. Food is dialled in 4 days a week and falls apart on weekends. Friends have events, that sort of thing.

And yes, GLPs make the food side dramatically easier. Or at least "DID" in the early days, and they probably still do — it's just been so long that this now reads as the new baseline/normal.

I do appreciate the diet/exercise conversation, but I'm in my mid 30s and I've been through it 10,000 times, personal trainers included. Nothing has come close to GLP-1s. Even in this kinda... "lame non-working" state it beats what I got from the gym with an actual trainer back in my 20s.

Those things will get sorted, or improved, but what I actually came to ask about is GLP-1 stacking and whether it has worked for people.

-Has pushing tirz past 15mg actually paid off?

-Has anyone gotten anything out of very low levels of Reta?

Totally get it. Bringing up diet and the rest is the tech-support equivalent of asking whether somebody has tried restarting their computer: it has to be said 😛

Grab the loseit app. Set it to sedentary. Skip eating back whatever you burn

Food is the piece that matters most.

Hitting a weekly average matters more than any single day's deficit.

To shed 1lb you aim for 3500 below your BMR across the week

GLP1s remove most of the difficulty, though you can absolutely keep eating past full, or reach for very calorie-dense foods.

The peptides feed your brain a false fullness signal, and you can still overrule them and carry on.

Plenty of people have pushed past 15mg and gotten something out of it, and there are trials running now that open at 25mg.

Earlier trials pointed to returns shrinking as doses climb.

Reta is a sensible addition because it engages a 3rd receptor; glucagon, and it would layer onto the Tirz GLP1 and GIP

Glucagon receptor component: Works like glucagon to raise energy expenditure and calorie burning, and to break down fat stores along with liver fat.

Here's something to consider...

Which day do you inject? Could it be Sunday, Monday or Tuesday?

Granted, weekends bring events and that sort of thing, but assuming you haven't already done it, it may be worth shifting your shot to Thursday so the appetite suppression peaks while the weekend is happening.

Oh and if you question whether anyone out there goes past 15mg weekly and lives to talk about it, take a look at this thread:

High doses of Tirz updates 60mg a week

Update on my 60mg a week tirz exp: yes im still alive and still researching. Every 2 days I take 20-25mg of tirz, and stacked in at that dose were 6mg of survo, 6mg of elro, 6mg of reta, 2.5-5mg cagri and 2.5 or 5mg sema — now these were not combined but at different weeks i tried a new...

Fair point — Wednesday was a deliberate choice for me, putting my 6th and 7th on Mon,Tue

Right, the "bla" label makes it come across as mild or whatever. In reality it's deeply debilitating, and it has left me with considerably more empathy for anyone living with genuine "depression" or anything comparable. Existing like that for longer than a few weeks would be absolutely impossible for me. It's truly awful.

I've gone onto Reta twice now, and it got me both times. Though the threshold for me looks to sit around 6mg+ per week. So I'm up for another attempt, this time blending so the Reta stays low.

(also my 'reply' cooldown is half an hour at present, I can sort of see why this forum does that but it's quite the obstacle to keeping a conversation moving right now)

For sure, I won't pretend my diet OR my exercise plan is the best, because it isn't, it's CLEARLY far from ideal — otherwise I'd have abs and wouldn't be using GLP-1s as a booster at all haha

I'd read that prior to signing up. Health risks weren't really my concern. Tirz and I have always coexisted happily. Beyond maybe feeling a bit wiped out the day after injecting, I've never had a genuinely bad side effect.

Wild run though — 60mg per week is quite a thing.

I’m on 13.2mg Tz each Monday and 3mg R each Thursday,

That small Reta dose keeps my metabolism moving, it had been higher and came back down; plus Anhedonia, RHR, and skin sensitivity (I thought I was going into anaphylaxis). I like what Reta does, just not what it costs me.

I've run each of them on its own and I prefer the Tirz, however I was after the higher metabolic rate Reta gives. For me 3mg of Reta is the sweet spot now.

The plan is to titrate up to 15mg T in 10 days.
