I'd aimed to get going several weeks back, but norovirus hit me, and then Covid came right on its heels. So the past few weeks have been pretty rough. To restate the basics: I'm male, carrying roughly 80 to 100 extra pounds, and my sincere hope is that this becomes the tool that carries me through losing weight and getting healthier.

There's a lot of anticipation on my end about getting started, and about finally—hopefully for good—shedding the weight instead of bouncing back and forth by 40 pounds each time. Spending the last 15 years fighting to lose the same pounds has left me utterly worn out. Everyone here has been so generous and supportive, and I'm grateful for that. Down the road, I hope I'll be in a position to give that same kind of help to other people here.

I'll make sure to update all of you as things move along!

I’m a big fan of tirz. Male, 60 years old, 6'0". Starting weight 201, and within 3 months on 2.5 tirz I hit 171. Toward the end, losses slowed, but that was simply because there wasn’t much fat left to lose. It worked really well. During week 2, constipation hit hard, then I had a day of explosive diarrhea. Once that passed, the pounds dropped quickly. Have a food on hand that you know gets things moving, so if you feel backed up, you can eat it.

I moved over to reta to find out whether the glucagon effect can push me below 15% body fat. I have more energy on it, though appetite suppression isn’t as strong—but I can tell the glucagon is doing a lot of work.

What made you go with Tirz rather than Reta or Sema? I was weighing Reta against Tirz and went with Reta because it works on 3 receptors rather than 2.

The reason I leaned toward Tirzepatide is that I know someone who's done well on it. Beyond that, I've come across reports from people saying Reta didn't curb their appetite as strongly as tirz did. Maybe I'll give Reta a shot down the road.

I'm hoping this marks the beginning of my own path as well! Wishing you a smooth experience!
Great! Week one is nearly done for me. I’m noticing I get full much faster. Food noise has dropped a little too.

A good friend who works as an RN and has a medical background suggested Triz, saying it gave better control over food noise—that's why I picked it. Her results were excellent, so I took her recommendation. For me, the outcomes have been excellent up to now. Wishing you the very best as you get going with this process.
