First grey vial mishap

My first grey order showed up yesterday, and I was really happy about it, since Fridays are when I do my jabs. Last Friday I'd finished off the final 2.5mg from the first vial I bought, and I was fairly convinced the new stuff wouldn't get here in time. I went with a T40 kit and reconstituted it the same way I'd done the 10 vial, trying 4ml of bac water. The problem: once I'd pushed in 3 and a half ml, no more bac water would fit because the vial was already full. I worked out that I'd actually used 3.5 ml, then redid the unit math for a 5mg dose. This morning I put air into the vial without even considering what would happen, and after I pulled out my dose, a little leaked out once the needle was removed. I was furious. I have no clue how much I wasted, and I'll keep going with the 5mg dose and presumably figure it out once I get close to the end. Still, fingers crossed I'll handle it better next time lol

Where is the problem, exactly? Drawing 3.5ml rather than 4ml just means running the figures through a calculator to work out the units you still need:

Which end did the loss happen at — the needle? If it leaked from the vial, I would try drawing the peptide back out without pushing any air in. If it was the needle instead, the markings on the barrel will tell you how much is still in there?

Tirz is supplied in 3mL vials, so when your reconstitution calls for over 2mL of BAC water, it's better to divide the contents between two fresh vials.

1. Into 1 T40 vial, inject 2mL BAC.

2. Draw 1mL of that mixed solution and place it into each of 2 new vials.

3. Top up each new vial with BAC until you reach your target concentration — here, that means adding 1mL BAC per vial.

Using 2ml to recon T40 honestly doesn't sound too bad, if he goes with 5mg that works out to 25units drawn on the syringe.

There's really no need for that step. As you withdraw the needle, some air gets drawn in briefly until the self-sealing membrane shuts, so a strong vacuum won't form inside.

edit: Naturally, before removing the needle, flip the bottle so the membrane faces up.

It came from the vial rather than the needle.

Honestly, no need to stress over it. When I did my very first reconstitution, my plan was to add — I don't even remember — 2ml, but rather than that, I ended up spraying some unknown quantity of bac onto the counter. The majority still made it into the vial, so I simply assumed I had 1.6 mL of bac for my 20 mg vial. I dropped weight and had zero trouble switching to my next compound vial, so I figure my rough estimate was more or less right. You're going to be fine

It came from the vial rather than the needle.

Same thing occurred during one of my recons — the vial probably had excess pressure, whether from air or liquid volume. Not a problem—next time skip adding air before you draw, or insert a vent needle to release pressure and leave it in place for 30-60 seconds.

Still, when it goes down like that, your reaction is just “What?!?”
