Finally seeing the difference in photos, and it hit me hard

53 pounds are gone. The purple-shirt shot dates from the close of last season's softball: a team photo was wanted, my arm had been broken in the game before, and it counted among the only photos of me taken since the weight began going on. Nor did I own a full body mirror. It caught me completely off guard; I had no idea how large I'd become. Roughly 195 in that first one. 5'7". The gain carried on until 207 this January. 12 lbs came off unaided, then tirz from mid February. 6 months of split dose tirz later (7.5 mg every 5 days currently) and 53 pounds have come off! This year's end of season photo got taken (also among the only pictures I have of my body), and the difference genuinely struck me. By the bmi chart I think I'm still overweight, though it has never been accurate on me. Another 10ish pounds and some toning would be welcome, but over all I'm amazed at how well tirz has done for me. Last year these photos gave me the opposite feeling. Seeing a picture of yourself and hating it is such an ugly feeling. These days I don't hate looking at myself.

Sorry for the odd cropping — I wasn't about to post my entire team lol.

Wonderful!!

Once 20lb or more comes off, a splurge at Ralph Lauren is happening for new wardrobes, and my tindr profile gets an update.

Well done! The change is dramatic.

Some day I'll have before/ after pics of my own to share, just not yet.

Keep it going!
Thank you — Tirz got off to a rough start (it lined up with an autoimmune flare up and the fatigue was next level), but overall I've felt great this past month and the weight is still creeping down. 1 pound a week roughly so much slower.

Take a few pictures just so you have them, you'll be glad of the progress later! My husband has taken a couple of befores/afters for me, though they're not something I'd post here lol.

That day will be fantastic! My wardrobe has been a struggle lately. Everything is loose, and nice jeans cost too much to be replacing at every size change. Baggy clothes it is for now lol.

Hey gorgeous! What a result.

Alongside photos and weigh days, get a tape measure on yourself. There are spells where the scale doesn't move while the inches come off.

Before GLPs, a photo of me never lined up with how I pictured myself…I just didn't “feel” that fat…hard to argue with it when it's right there in front of you though…

This week I'm at my family's, and it's honestly the first time photos of me have been taken since 30lbs ago… far better, and nearer to how I think I ought to look… 👍

Before and after pictures are great, but can we please please please keep the clothes on. The shirtless hairy dude photo that went up on this forum is still stuck with me, in a PTSD kind of way. That's not something I need to see. 😉😆

Congratulations OP! That's brilliant.

Our numbers are very nearly the same. 5'7 here too, currently 195. By my reckoning 207-53=154, which at 5'7" is a healthy weight for us. And you look fantastic.

Perhaps there's hope =)

Baggy clothes for me too; on peps I'd rather spend than on a new wardrobe at every size drop. Congratulations!!

Posts like this are lovely to see. You look amazing, and I'd bet you feel better than ever! I hope that arm healed up properly.

The odd thing is the body blindness. I still feel bigger than I am. Comments about how thin I look honestly catch me by surprise. Oh, right, I suppose I do look thin now. Strange, all the same.

Honestly Bpc157 has beaten the weight loss for me. I could sing its praises for days. It has cleared up my hEDS, torn knee, broken elbow and carpal/ cubital tunnel. If only a legit treatment for adhd could be found. At this point I think brain transplant is the only option. 🤔 😅🤣

Adorable in both, honestly! Glad the progress is making you happy. Not liking how I come out in photos is a feeling I know well. I need to see my own new shots before I can gauge where I am now. The scale and the measuring tape give positive numbers, but the mirror hasn't caught up. Tirz is a love of mine too. Simply remarkable.

30lbs down, and that meant a new leather suit for motorcycle track riding, plus new jeans and shorts.

Having progress pics makes me so glad. The “before” shot more or less cemented the commitment to walk this path.

Completely agree! I didn't think I was too out of shape, but with the “after” pic in front of me I can see I wasn't honest with myself.
