Hi everyone,

My fiancée and I are getting ready to kick off Reta in the near future, and we'd appreciate any advice you can offer. She's never used GLP's, while I've been on zepbound and dropped 155lbs with it, but my insurance cut coverage, so I moved to wegovy, which wasn't as effective, and with some old habits creeping back, I put 30lbs back on.

How should we begin dosing? Does it follow the same approach as zepbound? 4 weeks at one dose, then increase? If I buy a kit, do the remaining 9 go in the fridge or the freezer?

Thanks ahead of time

Not trying to come off as harsh, but did you look into any of this yourself? Whether you use a search engine or simply the search feature here on this site, you'll find every one of those answers.

Then head over to stairwayvto gray online and go through everything they have about the gray market. Once you've actually educated yourself, come back here with questions that are worth asking.

For Reta, the general advice is to start low and move slowly. Still, the decision is yours. I can share my own experience, though results vary from person to person. My first dose was 2mg, which I stayed on for 2 weeks. After that, I increased by 1mg every 2 weeks. (For example, 2 weeks at 4mg, followed by 2 weeks at 5 mg.) Compared with the FDA trials, this ends up being a slower ramp. I followed this pattern up to 12mg and never had issues. The one exception came early on, when I attempted to move from 2mg to 3mg after just 1 week. That gave me diarrhea for a week.

To repeat, this was only something I tried on myself. I have not come across anyone else doing it. Reta is powerful. If you are unsure, take it slow.

I followed roughly the same schedule as the one in post #5. Right now this is my plan, and this Friday will be my 4th dose at 4mg. I haven't decided whether to move up to 8mg right away. I may remain at 4mg for 4 more weeks, then go to 6mg, or else jump directly to 8mg. Monday's weigh-in will guide that choice. At the moment I'm dropping 2-3lbs each week, and it's typically 3.

Weeks 1-4 2mg

Weeks 5-8 4mg

Weeks 9-12 8mg

My diet has also shifted a lot, and you should expect your appetite to disappear. That said, I'm not familiar with what you were taking or how it impacts your hunger.

Good Luck.

I know this reply comes in a bit late, but here's how I see it. Zepbound clearly worked well for you—you knew the medication and got what sounds like great results. So why switch? Triz is sold under Zepbound, among other brand names, and it's highly effective. What you pay can also be a little lower depending on which venders you buy from, though that really depends on your dose and how each vender prices things, so it's not a simple comparison.
